It's petty, it irrational, it's unhealthy and its no longer relevant...

But I still despise that little rat.

Yes we were well compensated, yes he's a bust as a player, and yes, the money was good.

But... I just can't help it.

Couldn't care less. Just goes to show how irrelevant the leadership group is when GWS's onfield leader in Mumford has been demoted.

Christ we were lucky, not just because of the trade compo but because of the gigantic salary cap suckage we were up for

Makes you pause a bit with these Hogan negotiations

YAAAWWWWNNN. Do the exact same job with a 300% pay rise locked in for 5 years? Every single one of you would have done exactly the same thing Tom did, so I don't understand why people have still got their panties in a bunch about the whole issue.

Jealousy, schaudenfreude. The guy is an elite athlete, securing his life doing what he loves doing. He was put in an invidious position at Melbourne, and his manager should have handled it better.

I agree but it's still great to see him get thrown by Pederson.

He is an AFL footballer, as much as I dislike him and Fill.

I still enjoy how pathetic he's turned out for them given how much $$ he AND his dad cost them under the salary cap (often forgotten how the dodgy over the top salary of Phil was deemed excessive by the AFL for the BS role they gave him & thus included in their player cap)..... lmao

Go Hogan you beauty!!! Yes we won but still enjoy giving it to the slimy [censored]!

Yeah, cause he does that so often! Lol

I think Oliver's more likely than he is to do that personally. Besides, he can have 30, would rather he get those sorts of numbers anyway than his much more damaging teammates.

Does this really surprise anyone?  He was/is overrated and did us all a fav by jumping at the cash on offer.

No doubt in my mind it was just Sheedy trying to get back at us for not hiring him, i'd heard they even chased Watts& Trenners

Somehow doubt that the Collingwood fan forum has a post about Dawes and Lumumba being dumped from our leadership group. Another example of our supporters having a victim mentality.

Not victim mentality. The way I read some of the posts in this thread, people see it as a giant dose of karma for him.

Victim mentality implies that people think they are hard done by and suffering. The posts are all saying we are better off because of what happened.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
