surely Swallow is more likely to settle in a swans, eagles, crows, or hawks nest, than to dive on our hell pool ?

I voted Josh Kennedy. Love the way he goes about it.

A couple of weeks back I checked Josh Kennedy's age, & thought that puts him out of our picture;

..... but with our dearth of leaders & lack of real talent in our +27 Yr bracket, I checked again a few days back on his contract status, & started to think the idea of Josh Kennedy from the Swans, could really help us sort out our culture & leadership issues, even if for only 3 or 4 seasons.

I don't think we could do any better to help us get a move along than to do a deal for his services. he is contracted, but the Swans do have salary cap issues, & have so many elite Mids coming through that they have to try to keep happy, & on their books.

Doors/Grimes/Watts are all out of contract at the end of 2016. I'm guessing about 1.3 mil will be freed up.

Tmac will get some of that in his new contract.

Young players like Brayshaw/Petracca would be on minimum as 1st/2nd year players.

Jones contract is hopefully front loaded.

Whatever H is getting he's over paid.

Young players who will be guns get their payday about 22-23 - 28. Treloar being a great current example.

Hogan is 20, 22 in 2017, that's when his payday will come.

The club has done its numbers and thinks considering we have a young side we have a window to offer up big $$$$ and shake someone from the tree.

Thinking out loud, we missed on Danger, rather than target the best player at each club what about a second tier like a Steele Sidebottom(or someone similar).

I can believe this, in the topsy turvy games world of modern AFL... I'm holding fast to this idea with baited breath. a dangerous fish you say, & this fish can become rednblue through & through?

Shoemaker is happy playing back up at hawks, he rather be around greatness then having more playing time, not the type a club needs to improve, we won't land a big fish, and i would not vote for anyone on that list because bennall is trouble, and the others are just pipe dreams.

There is talk that we can't spend big cap space on a "big fish" because we need to keep the money for Hogan, but given that Hogan is contacted for the next two years I reckon one of the best ways to get him to sign that extension is to land a big fish midfielder who will deliver to him up forward.

Josh Kennedy (Swans), who would have to be front ended, for a 4 or 5 year contract. this helps the swans from their cap dilemma & to keep their young guns. I think they could be interested?

James Sicily would be a good get to play the 3rd tall forward role who pushes up into the midfield.

Also Jed Anderson as a line breaking midfielder. Either would be good.

I'm going for a double.

Pick 6 in this years draft from Kennedy from the Swans. Reason being Swans need early draft picks to have enough points to pick up Mills i think it is and Dunkley in the draft through Academy selection and father/son.

We'll also trade Howe and our first round pick of next year for O'Meara. Reason being Suns will know he's out the door end of 2016 and they wont want to risk another injury effected year lowering his trade value. So they'll take a 1st round pick in next years strong draft and a promoters dream in Howe.

Decided to amend my prediction of above.

Pick 6 in this years draft for Tippett from the Swans. The Tippett/Franklin experiment hasn't been working for them and they'll stick with Buddy all the way. Yup. Depth is more important than anything for the list at this stage. Landing an A grader will be great but wont amount to anything if we have to continually top the team up each week with VFL standard footballers each week.
