New Angus vid up on the MFC site - 2015 Review: Angus Brayshaw

It is funny looking at the highlights packages of the mids in the upcoming draft and then looking at Brayshaws 2015 highlights. The kid is a winner. Love how he wants to tackle, do all the defensive stuff but also backs himself, runs and attacks.

He is a brilliant size for a modern day footballer, is tough, looks like he has leadership qualities and seems genuinely excited at our prospects.

What a fantastic pick up for this club.

In my opinion this bloke could be just as important to us as Hogan.

I'll admit, when we picked both he and Petracca i said on here that Petracca will play Round 1 and never look back, while Angus would take some time and some development. Boy was i wrong. We have a beauty, and i'm not afraid to say the cursed Demonland words in this regard:

HE WILL BE ELITE!

I could watch that all night on loop. We used to say we could build a club around a young kid like that. I reckon we can say the same about Viney, Hogan, Salem and potentially Petracca. Exciting times.

Seen this guy play and at training,he is a gun!

Got tired toward late last year, however continued to try and put the effort in, when he continues to get bigger and the tank increases, he'll continue to be fantastic.

Talk it up dees

Attacks on spelling and grammar in internet forums are the equivalent of someone yelling over the top of another person during a discussion/argument.

True, although you can't deny that spelling the blokes name as 'Bradshaw' is not doing you any favours. Even you must have shook your head when you realised it.

saw GRAYSHAW kick a banana from the boundary at gosch's one day at training.. he looked around to see if hogan or garlett had seen it and they hadn't and he collapsed backwards and did a "snow angel" in the leaves on the ground..... from that moment on, he was my boy!

Wash your mouth out, that's going to Jack Viney mate!! he bleeds red and blue!!

Love Viney as much as the next person, and yes he does bleed for the club, but literally everything about Brayshaw says future captain material. I suspect he's going to be very hard to overlook when the time eventually comes.

With a bit of luck, Viney and Brayshaw will become our Mitchell and Hodge.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with having multiple leaders.

Sorry song, I disagree. I often have to read then re read posts because of poor spelling or grammar. Perhaps a better example would be to ask someone to stop mumbling so you can undersand them. We are trying to communicate after all, and being unintelligible does not help the cause.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
