Too true OX.

Maybe next week we'll be playing like psychopaths?

Anything is possible McQueen but I would settle for a four quarter effort.

That would be a novelty but make a nice change.

I think that team looks better than last week.

The forward line screamed at me who will kick 10+ goals

Hogan would be good for 2-3 and Garlett a couple after that I was stuggling.

So we have lost Dawes No big loss and Harmes.

Added Spencer and McDonald to the forward line can they be worse than Dawes?

Hardly.

Lost Harry based on recent weeks again no big loss and Brayshaw who has again been ordinary the last few weeks.

Go get em Guys.

just say it as I see it Steve.

I have tipped us to win two of the last three weeks for two wrongs and one right

you must have missed them.

This team would have beaten Carlton last week.

Bail and Matt Jones have failed too many times. Why rest Harmes ?? He has hardly played?? Been sub a few times. Why not just use him or Brayshaw as sub.

Tired players ... amazing !! no wonder we are viewed as SOFT.

Harmes has been very ineffective most of his disposals are clangers. he needs to consolidate in the 2s.

Id rather these games go in Jay Kennedy Harris instead of Bail for example. Didn't even play last week in the 2s and he still gets named.

Unbelievable

They are obviously working with JHK on specific things and want him to keep learning

We are going to get smashed and this could well be Bail's last game. I am hardly bothered.

Might be 2 more games for Bail and Jones.

Needs to be a massive off season for the club, I don't see it but here is hoping we can get an A grader or 2 in.

How the F..k do Matt Jones and Rohan Bail continue to get games.

So, we finally agree on something!!??

Ibid!

I hope ,if Roosy is serious about "Maniacs" he plays Riley, who has had outstanding form in the Magoos!! Much better than Oscar Mac!

But what would I know!??\

Meh!

I'd go with Watts, Stretch, Riley and Grimes for the bench. If Roos is imploring us to be 'angry', put Riley in at the first bounce and let him put that standard out there.

He'll butcher the ball when he gets it, but given the opposition and location, it's not going to make too much difference. I'd rather see us play with the required level of intensity, especially when Freo have the ball.

I'm happy with Spencer replacing Dawes. Gives Gawn assistance against Sandilands, and gives us something to aim at in the forward line other than Hogan (Dawes wasn't doing a lot of that of late).

Good on OMac for making the team. Gotta love how he's named at FP but in his interview said Roos told him he is playing defence. If he plays defence I wonder who is going to be freed up to play forward - Howe?

The VFL report this week described JKH as a 'work in progress'.

He is, clearly, not ready for AFL selection if the coaches are describing him using that phrase.

Reckon he'll get one more year to prove himself, but not sure he's going to make it.

So which mega quick player do we bring in to replace Matt Jones then or are you looking to make us slower on the biggest ground in the AFL?

Kent is just getting fit again, vandenburg and Frost have been ruled out all year.

The only remotely quick players left in the magoos are Fitzy (who is coming off a concussion) and Terlich (who you all complain about).

For mine, given where the games is played (ie: the biggest ground in the comp), I would have rested Cross and had Terlich in the side.

But I'm sure Crossy will give it everything, especially after a poor game last week, and it looks to me that he will start in the midfield this week - rather than as a defensive floater.

I know we are meant to be positive but after looking at that team I think we will be well and truly belted!

Would be happy to be proven wrong.

It's actually quite similar to the team that beat Geelong...

It will be carnage.

No, I don't think we'll win by that much.

You will be bothered when he sprays it from 30m out

He's just passing it to one of his team mates - via their full back and a kick in and an intercept.

He's very inventive, our Ro.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
