How is this thread hanging around? Adcock has been awful for a few years now. He is one of Brisbane fans' main whipping boys.

F##k no! Anyone saying yes obviously hasn't watched him over the past 2 years in particular this season, was shocked he is only 29, plays like a 35 year old. He has been a servicable player through his career at best..

Delete this thread its embarrassing

I was against him at the start but with Cross gone I would take him. Just watching him break from the half back take about 4 bounces and drill a long goal.

Maybe if he came on board he could release Salem into the midfield. Would add leadership and experience in our back half.

Why get rid of Cross and then get Adcock. Would be a real insult to Daniel Cross. I know that they said to Cross that it's time to back the next generation in, so recruiting another veteran would be bonkers.

As soon as I saw the questionable Cross delisting, I had a feeling Adcock would come into play. We're a leaderless team on-field and Roos hopes for Cross to remain at the club in a development role, but ultimately you can't carry Cross AND Adcock on your senior list.

Get Adcock in for nothing, keep Cross around at training developing our kids and setting the standards, it's a win-win. Plus, we get the leadership of Brisbane's former captain who will be desperate to prove Brisbane wrong.

Some seem to be getting a bit overwhelmed with Adcock playing a good last game.

He's been below average this season and averaging just 12 disposals. I don't care how cheap he comes, if we want to get out of the position we're in we have to aim higher than Adcock.

You wouldn't take him in the twos to help Casey? If the club had any intention of taking the risk on Adcock (who will cost us nothing), they'd rightfully let Cross go as you can't carry two players of this sort on a senior list.

Why would we pick someone up and let them take up a spot on our list with the intention of playing them at Casey?

If it's for depth when we're players down I still think we could do better. He offered very little this season.

I haven't seen enough of him this year to comment. But if we did pick him up to play on the back flank shouldn't we keep Salem on the other. Who's our other options to play there?

I don't know much about Jed but I'm not sure how you can refer to any former club captain who has had 21 possessions, kicked 4.2 and was nominated as BOG in his most recent game as rubbish.

Then don't comment if you don't know much about your mate 'Jed'...he's cooked.

Don't be a disrespectful [censored] to a player who has had a great career. He might not offer us a lot going forward but he's obviously been better than you've given him credit for.

But so many MFC players are exceeding performances like this... once every 2 years.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
