Doesn't look like we can win to many more games so I wander if this 'secret formuler' by the AFL will grant us a PP if we win less then 4 games.

Pick 1 and 2,3 or 4 could definitely snag us a star or 2 in trades and set us up

It's been established already that no matter how poorly you perform, if the word Melbourne is in or associated with your club's name, you don't qualify for a priority pick under the rules.

I love how playing the 3 best teams in the last 3 weeks and a serious run of injuries that has exposed our known to be shallow depth = we wont win many games. I still expect us to win 6-8 which was what I expected at years start.

I presume that with Carlton performing as badly as they are there will be talk somewhere inside the AFL about a priority pick, but it won't concern us.

Tough luck for North Melbourne then.

FK me seriously? are we really that worse then 2013 that after playing basically the top 3 sides of the competition that some supporters actually think we should get a priority pick!? LMAO!

FMD I know we obviously haven't matched up to them but jeez ease up on the wrist slashing.

Laughable thread.

The premise of the thread is based on an incorrect assumption that we wont win 3 more games.

As stated previously, we have played 2 teams outside of the top eight... and have beaten them both comprehensively.

PP are based on history as well as current season. If lucky we can beat 2 of Carlton Brisbane and St. Kilda at best if we are firing.

If we only snatch 2 of those we will be on 4 wins this season. That + our past should put us in the box seat

Complete dribble.

"Formuler" FM.

Let's instil a culture of hard work to get what you want.

[censored] the handouts, if we keep asking for them we will never be taken seriously as a club.

"Check out Melbourne asking for a handout again."

Rubbish thread.

And what do you plan on doing with these so called hand outs that you desperately want?

I said earlier, if we can trade it for a gun mid or 2 it will definitely help us. Our playing list is still a rabble, a few injuries and we go down [censored] creek.

I read in an article the other day about the issue of GWS and CG mining talent with their crazy draft concessions and the effect that has had on CARTLON's ability to recruit.

NOT US, CARLTON!

But when we made the same argument last year, no press, no sympathy.

We threw pick 3 last year and no one had a nibble. What makes you so sure that we will land a gun mid? And if we don't? We will pick up more kids and you will start exact same thread next year saying we need a priority pick because we are getting flogged by top 3 sides..

You are amazing aren't you.....

Apart from Freo in Round 22, I give us a good shot in all other matches.

We'll win at least 6 I'd of thought, so zero chance of a priority pick.

7 games in and we have a thread on a potential priority pick.

Some posters on here never cease to amaze.

This is pretty close to spot on. We've gotten our worst stretch out of the way and we will certainly win a few more games before the season is out.

Stop picking on the poor kid. Olisik's favourite topics to post about are draft picks and trades. If they didn't have that, then they would never contribute to this forum.

Just leave it be.

not true, it is very obvious to me that we had a deal all stitched up involving pick 3+12(?) for somebody but Richmond's medical screwed us

every chance to do the same this year, we don't need a PP to do it though

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
