GAME DAY - Round 6

Recommended Posts

our boys just don't play instinctive attacking footy....they don't back themselves from the get go and only start taking their opponents on and taking risks when the game is well and truly lost

Dawes marks turns outside instead of inside then proceeds to hack the ball forward to the advantage of them.... Fm he has no idea

When can we start questioning Roos' gameplan? Swans have been very average and our movement forward is as bad as I've seen.

Unaccountable football. We could have won this if we could actually generate some momentum. Swans put the cue in the rack at half time and we haven't done a thing to challenge them.

Watts came on as the sub and is just loping around.

Another poor sub selection. He should've had a full game at vfl level. Playing him as the sub has achieved nothing, just as when Neeld did it.

It's his incredible lack of effort that is just destroying to watch.

Hogan is just a star in the making. He reads the ball so well. And he can kick em from 50.

Sign him up please!!

@Young Dee Swans have been average. We could have won this

They have looked flat since the 2nd quarter and we did nothing to take advantage

Sydney didn't win this. We lost it.

Hogan, Salem, Stretch, Brayshaw, Tommy Mac.. at least there is something to build on.

God knows there is enough crap to be swept out (yet again) at years end.

A dozen players or more have had no impact.

Trying to find 6 good players is a fruitless exercise ... Salem & T-Mac have done well.

Our skills are deplorable

Give t-Mac a medal. Given the heat and who he was playing on that was one amazing game

If any SA side offers us anything better than a 3rd round pick for Toumpas - we'd be mad not to take it.

No club in their right minds would give us anything for Toumpas, he'll be playing SANFL next year.

Salem, TMac and H can walk of the ground knowing they tried.

So many players went missing

Our midfield sucks - Jones, Tyson and Vince need to lead the way

Don't know if I will bother next week

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
