GAME DAY - Round 6

Featured Replies

Come off it guys. We were never expected to beat Freo, Swans or Hawks this year. It's a tough draw. We'll learn a bit and beat some of the middle graders. Then we'll continue the recruitment and delistings. In 2 or three years we'll be more competitive against the top sides.

What year is it?

How long have we been saying this for? Absolutely NO excuse for the effort they are dishing out. Game is supposed to be about fighting, showing courage, determination etc. They have shown NONE of that.

Some disgraceful impiring amongst our disgraceful performance isn't helping

Finally something - Hogan

2 - in a row for Melb

Edited by Young Dee

That was great play. Garlett clearance to Brayshaw who hit Hogan for a goal. If only we saw that at the first bounce.

All our goals for the last two weeks have been kicked by players who didn't play last year!

that goal was all from Cross's clearance and lightning handball.... Pro Dee where are u!???

Why does Dawes take a good mark and then kicks it to the opposition?

Why is he even playing?

Garlett to Brayshaw to Hogan from a centre clearance.

And kicked accurately.

God we need to hold onto this kid.

Probably signed with Freo at Qtr time

Does team rules allow the team to score two goals in a row?

Always knew these 3 weeks would be tough, but it's matches like these that define us.

I'm sad to say our definition is quite clearly pathetic.

Any chance if winning a hit out Jake? Toumpas looks out of his depth . Stretch Salem tmac positives

Seriously. Where is this club at?

The players just keep letting the CLUB down

How long can this last?

Maybe Mark Neeld wasn't so bad...

Where is the consistent progress. The learning??

This is by far the worst thing i have ever [censored] read!?

The fact you reckon Mark Neeld wasn't so bad is laughable!

Is the siren had held off for two more seconds we would have had a shot at three in a row. Leigh Mathews says that three goals in a row is the golden number in a chase.

ffs

hey guys, first time i have posted. massive demons fan. Tonight is bad, infact for years we have been terrible. But lets not forget the introduction of gold coast and GWS and how many years of rebuilding they have taken from us. its hurts to watch them play

Salem has brilliant game sense and poise, compared to Toumpas who has neither. I have defended Toumpas and still hopes he makes it but think it's just not going to happen.

Our midfield is so poor it is hard to judge our young talent, Hogan, Stretch, Brayshaw and others. They try but get overrun by the opposition because some of our so called hardened midfielders just can't cover the opposition. I include Jones, Tyson and who else, that is our problem.

Garlett.....OMG.

Lets be honest, has he ever looked like he was going to make it? Ever since he came in with those dodgy hips, he has looked out of his depth. I can not see him making it. He has had more than enough chances to show something... anything.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
