I reckon we are a 6-8 win team next year maybe 9-11

Agreed. If everything goes right we could well win 10. Given we could have won 6-8 last year. It's all about confidence. If we can string a two or three together who knows.

We're not better than Collingwood I'm afraid...they were hard at it yesterday and Figjam has them on the right track. We are better than:

Bears

Suns

Blues

Tigers

Saints

Doggies

and maybe the Eagles

Agree - Collingwood were good yesterday and I think on the right track in terms of list management, culture and game plan. Wouldn't be surprised if they finish 5-6th and play deep into September.

I reckon we will win 6-8 including matching it with and beating at least one of Geelong, North and Westcoast - teams which have bullied us since we have been a rabble.

I think the pass mark for this season is a percentage btw 80-90% and being a contender for finals 2/3rds into the season. This is important as it means we have something to play for in the last 7 or 8 games.

We are not as good as Collingwood,Brisbane ,Geelong or North.

We haven't beaten them in years.

We are nowhere near Sydney,hawks,freo,port.

We are probably the equal of the dogs.

We are 5 goals worse than the crows.

We are better than Carlton .

Yet to prove we can do the Saints.

The gw scums are heading for the eight.

West coast are another one we can never beat.

No offence to the OP but this is a ridiculous conversation to be having in round 4 with our opponents having been GC, GWS (who pansed us), Adelaide, and the Tigers.

We are an up and coming team, that is all. We still have along way to go before we can start talking about who we're better than. On their best day the Tigers are still probably better than us.

[EDIT] Typo

I have to agree.

We must be the worst group of supporters at keeping the lid on our team.

Our best is good enough to push any side and beat most, but our worst is bad enough to lose to St Kilda, Brisbane or any other bad side.

Hate to reduce the impact of your otherwise good post, but it's round 4 not round 3.

what a bunch of old misery guts.

Dare to dream, Demons, Dare to dream....

Believe me, having seen our start to the year I'm dreaming much bigger this year than the last 8 combined.

I have much more hope, but that doesn't mean all of a sudden we're the 8th best side in the AFL.

Should win

R8 Dogs

R10 Pies

R11 Saints

R14 WC

R16 Lions

R17 Saints

R18 Pies

R20 Dogs

R21 Blues

Gives us 11 games

Plus 1 or 2 upsets..... hmmm

Might have to rethink the Dogs. Watching them now giving Adelaide a hard time.

Can you blame some of us though? So starved of success.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
