Keep dreaming boys. Time to move on to other targets this year and focus on Prestia again at the end of 2016.

Have you spoken to Mahoney? Viney? Roos? If you haven't then you can't guarantee a thing mate.

Imagine if Prestia broke his contract with the Suns, crossed to us at a high price in terms of his pay and the cost to the club and then struggled with his injury well into 2016?

We would be livid and the club would have massive egg on its face. Perhaps he's doing us and himself a big favour by seeing out his contract? In any event, he would have to pass a searching medical to get to the stage where a transfer would be seriously contemplated and maybe he's not 100% confident of that? Or, he simply believes that a contract's a contract and that's that.

Whatever way you look at it, it's time to move on and look elsewhere for that A Grade mid.

I also found Roos' recent comments about Howe being a required player given that it is well known that, up until very recently at least, Howe's manager and the club have been in an absolute deadlock in relation to a new contract.

Suspect there's more to that one too.

I find this wording curious. Are you suggesting there was indeed some form of set-back in our recruitment efforts but we'll continue to negotiate and haven't given up hope?

Problem is that Prestia is not the one who does the trades. It is GC.

Prestia didn't even make the announcement.

It's just player manager posturing.

Don't know why you mentioned CS, when i was just adding Taylor, our recruiting officer, to the names you put down, as to who would know what is happening with recruiting.

Would have thought he is the most important.

Whats his manager supposed to say? "Yeah mate, dions off to the dees" the bloke is contracted and a jet, the suns were never going to be thrilled. Only a couple of weeks ago lachie henderson and jake carlisle said they didnt want to change clubs..

He could say no comment, or what Jeremy Howe's manager is saying...

Thanks for the reassurance, SirPR.

Must admit I didn't find the Manager at all convincing. All that he said (or was quoted to have said): has informed the Demons the top ball-winner will honour the final year of his contract with the Suns next season.

If Prestia was really committed to the GCS he could have added 'and we will be discussing another contract' etc.

If he isn't committed to GCS beyond next year he is better off going and they all move on.

No, the Manager wasn't convincing at all.

Will put my faith in you, Sir!

Or Prestia is honouring the final year of his contract to see if the Suns improve under Eade without so many injuries.

Bottom line is that it's pretty clear he isn't going anywhere until the end of next season. If I were GC I'd be backing the club to bounce back next year and that will have a roll on effect for guys like Prestia to re-sign beyond 2016, so I can't see them trading him.

Nothing is pretty clear at this time of the year.

Carlton where very clear in their assertions that they would honour MM contract as well, things change, things stay the same.

In the end we will know more at the end of trade season...

Disappointing news given he fits the profile of the type of midfielder we are hoping to lure to the Dees next year.

Does this now make O'Meara or Aish our number 1 target?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
