Whatcha gonna do... I SAID WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU?!!! (I would pay good money to see Jess say this but I think he is a little to introverted to do so).
P.S. Real American seems a bit odd to use for an Aussie so I posted this.

Clark.

Ah.....

Not sure where you are going with this...

I will be just glad he finally got on the park for his debut and stays injury free. I don't expect more win or lose on this occasion from him.

Having watched him closely on Friday night - I'm just hoping he gets a few touches and bags one.

Don't expect too much just yet, and I'm not tempering my expectations to be cool.

Mitch Brown towelled him up, and his hands look shocking when he did get in front.

I am angry with Dawes for getting suspended, I hope it's not watts all over again, without a few big bodies to play and have his back, lucky its against the suns who are a young team, lucky its not hawthorn someone like Hodge on him, I think they might put malceski on him.

Seriously... Don't Jinx it!

just want to see him get games, & steadily learn the caper from Roosy, & McCarthy. he can smash the packs next year. I'd be happy if he played in the back pocket for awhile, just as long as we start developing him on the stage.

I'd like to see Viney & Watts start to step up their levels. & TMac.

I think part of that came from him being a bit hesitant - it seemed to me as though he was holding back a bit because it was only NAB Challenge and he just wanted to get through and not get injured. Come the real stuff I think he'll play a more attacking game meaning he won't be as fumbly and will crash the packs a bit. Hope so anyway.

I'm not expecting much. He looked a bit raw during the NAB Cup. I'm not sure if it was because he was holding back as Gonzo mentioned or if he was just trying to get a feel of the game, or both.

Those loose hands we not a pretty sight and he dropped two absolute sitters but I think that when he gets a better feel of the pacing of an AFL match and gets a bit more confident, body-on-body, he'll be tough to beat.

He's still a "goal a game" kind of guy even when he looks raw. He just has a natural talent to kick goals so if he can contribute with 1-3 goals and be involved in a few others in his debut I think that will be a massive win, irrespective of his other stats.

Please, Watts was just a boy, brandished around for marketing purposes.

Hogan has almost three years, about 20kgs, and a very different mindset to the boy Watts was in 2009.

I have to say I laughed at the idea that Hogan would need a "few big bodies" to have his back. His *is* the big body!

Agreed, very different scenario to Watts. I saw Hogan in his first year for Casey be an on-field leader with his physicality and his ability to direct others. He is a beast of a bloke and an absolute mongrel on the field. Very different player than Watts, from both a physical and an attitude perspective...

Loved last week when he smashed that Essendon loser and gave away the 50.

Was worth it just to see him show that he can flatten players at AFL level. :)

He will be our Plugger Lockett . Opposition will be hearing footsteps any time he is in the vicinity.. or even if hes not.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
