H Lumumba Cannabis Beat-Up

Machsy

Recommended Posts

I'm embarrassed to say I have been watching The Footy Show, and Damien Barrett has just dropped a Pulitzer-worthy bombshell that Heritier Lumumba, in 2012, went to the AFL and asked them a question.

Hang him.

The question, if it matters, was if Harry was to be around some of his Rastafarian mates and happened to inhale some second-hand smoke, leading him to test positive to cannabis, what would happen?

Rather harmless question that confirms very little.

MY question is, how does Damien Barrett know about this conversation?

Who has breached Harry's confidence? And will they have a job in a week's time?

Obviously the answer to that rhetorical question is YES.

But it's still [censored].

This leak you would think had to come from the AFL.

Just more proof of how incompetant and untrustworthy they were while run by Dimwit, but hey at least he got lots of money from the broadcasters.

This is despicable behaviour by said employees of the AFL, but not surprising at all.

if i was HL id be pretty angry.

the inference of course being that he smokes weed.

which is pretty much what everyone on twitter now thinks.

purple is a [censored].

Anyone that takes anything that purple headed turd says at face value without at least some corroborating evidence is just as much of a prat as he is.

AFL leaks and breaks confidentiality to their own AFL.com.au employee who then breaks it on Channel 9. What a joke.

I don't really care if Lumumba loves weed and it's a cover up. If that's true then break that story.

But don't just denigrate him and attack his story including a definition of what Rastafarian is, throw in the line about Collingwood players self reporting and all the other crap unless you can back it up.

I hope H can laugh it all off as the joke that it is but I'd also fully supporting suing Barrett any way he wants. Maybe with this Joe Hockey case going on there might be a few more will to hold to account journos who print or speak trash.

[censored] disgraceful. Who the [censored] breached his confidence? It would be a small circle of people whom he talked to, so I can't imagine it's going to be hard to work out.

Maybe it's time C. Dawes, in his newly elected position on the AFLPA board, demand a few answers for such a gross breach of HL's rights? He was doing the right thing to insure he was in the clear but is painted as a stoner by this complete [censored] jockey.

Meanwhile, a team of drug cheats remain happily anonymous at the AFL's discretion in the biggest team doping scandal in Australian sporting history. Sickening.

Don't know if H is a smoker. Do understand slander laws (generally you pedants!).

Reckon this won't end well for Barrett.

Lumumba can't afford to cause a stink at his new club by using the law. Barrett probably knows this (or doesn't). Either way, HL will more than likely let it slide which is unfortunate.

Barrett casting aspersions. If H returned positive then why enquire? He'd find out anyway unless he was querying a further hypothetical strike but it all appears to be an imperial beat up.

Club knocked it on the head which is the main thing.

Or maybe it comes from the Westpac Centre. A bit of payback. Just wait until Queens Birthday!

You are right, and I think Barrett is trying to bait 'H'...

Hopefully the club can handle this, support 'H' and let him play footy.

Time for Dill to get on with some real work instead taking the pats on the back for cheap chips...someone or someones at the AFL need to get their marching orders.

edit: nearly forgot...'Machsy', you must be on something to be watching that sh...mustn't be much on the box tonight.

Interesting that it was all quiet whilst he was at the Magpies, but rears it's head at the start of a new season with a new club on the footy show .

I don't care. At all.

I'm stoked to have Lumumba at the club.

I'm also stoned to have Lumumba at the club.

what an interesting question by Harry. I wonder if players have tried to use that excuse before. Im not saying that Harry has done anything wrong, but if you are in the room with your mates who may be smoking something illegal id leave the room.

Didn't work for Josh Gordon - http://beta.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11281430/josh-gordon-legal-team-say-second-hand-smoke-reason-positive-marijuana-test

But they did end up slashing his penalty as well as increasing the threshold from 15 nanograms to 35. And he then got suspended under the alcohol part of the substance policy, which is actually very harsh.

The NFL off season drug policy is kind of hilarious. One test over the off season break between April and June I think it is. And if you're dumb or unlucky enough to not wait until you've had your test then you might get caught and the 3rd strike used to be a heavy suspension. It's now 3 strikes just with fines before any suspensions come on board.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
