Hope rumours are untrue but if G. Barlett cant be a part of our "team" then rack off rufus! Not interested in your unsettling undertones.

Slander?

I thought it at the time

So did I.

You can't let an accusation like that go - this isn't The Anonymous Internet. The servers are rented by people, the website published by people, it is people that are affected, and if they are affected by what is said on here then I am sure they will be forced to close it down, at which point we are all affected.

Yankee Bartlett heads for the door before PJ. I'm sure PJ is difficult and autocratic - I'm sure he doesn't refer to the President or Board for decision making - but who cares - he's landed Roos & Goodwin, major sponsors, AFL special funding and turned a profit this year - best CEO I think we've ever had - and he doesn't spin or sugarcoat anything.

If Bartlett stuffs this up members should call for his head.

He is neither.

Alright, but censor the incident, and the rest of the post should have been ok, no?

And fairly pertinent I'd say.

The bloke's decision-making these days is sub-standard.

Seriously we are high if we don't stick with Jackson. He has been the single greatest thing to happen to this club since 1964.

I would be totally shocked and disappointed if we went down the instability route for no reason.

It would be complete stupidity to throw out Jackson who has done a big job in a small amount of time to bring the MFC back to life. Let's hope it won't ever happen.

i personally think Peter Jackson is the best CEO in the game, if not very close and we'd be seriously struggling to find someone so much better that it's worth throwing a person and asset of that calibre under the bus.

It came across very agenda-driven. As if you were dead opposed to Cook ever working here and were even willing to throw in unsubstantiated material to help said cause.

"Even though this guy built a club bereft of premierships for over 40 years into a side who won 3 premierships, let's totally ignore that and harness all our negative attention into what he did for the rest of his time at the club (along with this probably made-up rumour)".

If you seriously dislike like him and don't want him working here, fair enough. But to advocate he's incapable of the job in question? That's certainly incorrect and not right at all.

If I could make it work I'd hope we could have both Cook & Jackson in seperate roles at the club... who's better ???? but Cookie has plenty of points on his scoresheet.

...and I do like the way the cats play the game this century..

'Machsy' has good contacts at Geelong, I wouldn't write off what he says so quickly. His info in the past has been very reliable.

I also understand why parts of the post were probably a bit too hot to leave up.

I didn't.

I basically said that at his current capacity, he's still good, but his lofty reputation isn't warranted.

Not now at least.

I'm an advocate of not making rash decisions based on reputations forged long ago, ignoring more recent events.

The cats have issues and he has been asleep at the wheel in recent seasons, undoing some of his good work.

They've managed to hide it somewhat, but the Cats aren't traveling that great and haven't capitalised on their recent onfield successes.

I would say he needs a fresh start to revitalise him.

He's been at that club since the late 1990's so he's probably over the role.

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
