Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Wonder where he'll head after Geelong finally fall in a heap, once their premiership players finally drop off the perch.

Clark has already shafted 3 clubs, why not four ?

His tweets about getting behind the cats and the fans down there in Geelong, actually make me feel sick.....no time for this bloke.

The very same tweets I was reading this time last year "can't wait to get out there with the boys" etc.

Insincere and sickening.

I heard this on the radio late last year, Clark has done the opposite to Moloney. He's gone from Brisbane to Melbourne to Geelong (Monoley did the oppositie order). What does this have to do with anything? Nothing, but I found it interesting.

Moloney didn't shaft a third club on the way through.

I think my favourite quote was something along the lines of: "All the boys want the same thing. To win games."

What a unique thing for a team to unite over.

Mitch is no longer a Demon I have no care for him anymore. My interest in him is when they play us and I hope we contain him otherwise he is irrelevant to me.

I wish him no personal harm nor do I wish to see him be a great success on the field at the Cats

Time to move on.

The old saying "You can't worry about who you haven't got, you can only worry/control those who you do have" is very appropriate in this circumstance

Yes we did not want him anymore, the day he said he was retiring was when he told the club he did not want to play with the Dees, once that happened he was never coming back, when he told the club this they tried to talk him round, at that point he turned his back on us, Clark tweeting saying" how do u know they did not want me is a lie, it's a classic defence response, make the victim the bad one, many rapists use this even murders will try and make the victim look like they deserved it.

It's over as far as I am concerned. There is no point in dwelling on him, Chip or Voldemort (who I was annoyed with). I have no ill will towards Chip at all.
It's not my place to say whether Mitch suffered or not.
I do however have reservations about him going to Geelong.
Firstly, he may be coming back too early if his diagnosis is correct. I also wonder if he has actually been to Geelong before he was traded there. The place is a fishbowl and the Geelong Addy nothing more than a glorified magazine for Cats fans..
Secondly, I do have some issues with how he left. We support him in his decision to 'retire' then he is back in four months wanting a trade.
Something smells a bit funny.
I am not going to go into speculation about where Mitch was at when he pulled the pin. However, I don't like how the aftermath of that has played out.

Why does everyone insist on besmirching Voldemort's name all the time? That character was many things, but he wasn't a traitor; nor did he have much interest in money. He lied a little, but that wasn't what he was known for. You might even say he was an idealist, and that's more than you can say for Tom Scully.

Voldemort used the cruciatus curse a little too much for my liking and whilst Lilly and James Potter were fair game, trying to take out a first gamer in Harry was just beyond the pale as far as I am concerned.

Actually, taking this even further of track for a moment, the Voldemort connection runs possibly deeper than we all thought. Voldemort's prior name was Tom Riddle and it has now passed over to one Tom Scully. It could be more than just the desire not to mention his name that landed Scully with this label. A riddle can be something that challenges belief... according to the urban dictionary a scully is an expression of disbelief or something/someone that cannot be believed.

That's either quite spooky, or I have finally tumbled over the edge.

Voldemort had a lot of natural talent, but wouldn't stick to team rules, never ran anywhere (let alone two ways) and would always fly for the mark, even when a spoil was the percentage play. He had no right foot, often got into trouble abroad, and would start punch-ups behind play. He had a big enough, ego, though for the entire Essendon team .. :)

I rate Mitch very highly. When he was fit he was by far our best player. I believe if he does get physically and mentally fit he will win the Coleman Medal. Consider how good he would be with Geelong midfield supply and Hawkins beside him which would not allow Mitch to be double teamed. Its a scary thought.

What are the chances of Mitch being physically and mentally fit? From his historical record the chances are low............... but I have a bad feeling.

I have no time for him as a person, but I think he's going to smash it next season. The Cats fans will love him just the same as we did.

He'll be the difference that helps them into yet another finals series.

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt

THE MEANING OF FOOTY by Whispering Jack

Throughout history various philosophers have grappled with the meaning of life. Aristotle, Aquinas, Kant, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer and a multitude of authors of diverse religious texts all tried. As society became more complex, the question became attached to specific endeavours in life even including sporting pursuits where such questions arose among our game’s commentariat as, “what is the meaning of football”? Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin must be tired of dealing with such a dilemma but,
