Isaac's Dee-lighted with his new demon idol

Great effort young fella.

A reply was the least Frawley could have managed, weak effort imo.

BTW I remember the Spittle family from Smeaton just out of Ballarat.

Settle down mate, chipper is a professional footyballer and has'nt nor should'nt have the time to answer every silly little request sent in by some non descript pimply face schoolkid thats never played a game of AFL in his life.

Get a grip and give these blokes the space they need.

You won't get a bite with that obvious bait Jizza. You just have to get away from your four udder mindset.

Great! Now you're taking potshots at twelve year old kids.

Why am I not surprised?

Instead of hopping into Frawley, let's applaud the Club for the way that they handled it! In the end the Club got some good positive publicity and created a 'feel-good' story!

Frawley could at the very least have taken out a quaddie and given the kid half the winnings back. Would have taught the young whippersnapper the meaning of life and how to find happiness on the punt. He's the right age to start learning life's valuable lessons. Typically, of a big headed, highly paid AFL footballer!

All of this loaded judgement!

How do we know he even knew about this?

And here he is being flogged to death.

Let us all be thankful that we are not sufficiently talented at this particular sport to be held to a standard that our teenage much less our early twenties years would have gained us public respect through universal public exposure.

What are you trying to say here?

1) Frawley should have given the kid nothing (when the quaddie didn't get up); or

2) gambling is the best use of money; or

3) it is always best to share your winnings with somebody who needs the money more; or

4) the kid was a mug because some Melbourne footballers prefer to use money to gamble.

What struck me is the $15 wasn't just any $15, it was his reward for kicking his first goal (under 10's)! Who knows how long he had cherished it...months, years? Clearly it meant a lot to the little fella. Its sad that James didn't get the poignancy of the gesture and respond accordingly.

To be fair to James, leaving it in his locker was probably an oversight or maybe he didn't even open it as leaving cash lying around a locker isn't very smart. I hope he learns of the story and feels a touch embarrassed.

Anyway, its great that young Isaac got the original $15 back and hope he goes on to kick many many more goals!!

I would take Deeman with little more than a grain of salt CBDees.

In the past Frawley has been shown giving back to kids so I wouldn't hammer him on this one.

Let's be a bit charitable and take the positives out of the club coming good here rather than slamming 'Chip'.

Let's do both.

I didn't realise there was good money in under 10s.

Interesting that people still write letters especially from the younger generation. I thought the age of twitterites and faceboofs had completely taken over.

I write letters to them but never get responsed (sic)... I can't understand why not. I even sign off with my name and age, Timmy age 62 and a half. I just don't think they're as friendly as they used to be when I was 10. Must be a generational thing.

There is always the possibility Frawley did not know what a letter was. Maybe he thought it was something you put in your locker for pest control to prevent socks from getting moth eaten?

Maybe he just couldn't work out how to open it, or he was just too mentally exhausted after he had finally worked out how to open the locker.

I think we should give Frawley the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was flummoxed. What right has a pimply kid to impose himself and put issues into an occasional A grade footballers head?

So important to get primary school kids to hand write every day, does good things for developing the young brain as well as hand/eye skills (writes the bloke typing into a keyboard). But I digress...

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
