GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Recommended Posts

Barrett is a waste of space. One reason I don't watch the footy show. I believe in Roos. Frawley and Mitch gone but in Roos we trust to make the best of the situation. To quote the movie Anger Management, Goos Fraba people, goos fraba

Listen to Roos on new video on MFC website he is asked about Mitch and by listening to him I would say there is zero chance he will play for us next year

Could someone provide a short summary of what was said? Takes an eternity for videos to load on that website.

i have changed my mind about Mitch. if I got hit with depression and im not sure if the vibe around the club contributed to it and the same thing happened at my workplace why would I want to go back there.

I dont care if mitch goes to hawthorn stkilda or another victorian club but please dont go to the bombers. I couldnt handle it.

If that's the case then he isn't fit to play for any club. Those are the pressures of team sport & being in the AFL. From my perspective this is being played to Mitch Clarks agenda. I had my doubts about his motives when he retired that he would make a return to another club. That is exactly what will happen.

I'll be happy to eat humble pie if Mitch proves a lot of people wrong & stays at the club. The writing is on the wall though & he is well & truly shafting the club at the monent. He has no loyalty other than to himself & his wallet. When you have his fkhead manager coming out in the media saying that he's done us a favour by giving us a list spot & taking a payment you know that the club is being screwed. I'd be happy if the club played hardball & forced him to enter the draft rather than accepting a trade.

Watching Roos' response in the latest Burgo interview, safe to say that Mitch is gone.

For whatever reason, Roosy just does not seem interested in keeping him at the club. I find that very odd, but I'm not privy to all the circumstances surrounding it.

Personally I think that offering him a 1 year deal on lowish wages is the only responsible thing to do. We put him in the system for a year, see if he holds up both physically and mentally and then offer a better deal if he's going ok. It's fair to the club because they won't be paying overs for a dud and it's fair to the player because it gives him a platform to work from with minimal pressure and no massive expectations. If I were Mitch I would jump at an offer like that.

I totally respect all that is being said here, im quite [censored] with this whole saga and hope we beat the [censored] out of him if/when he plays for another club. But really, he didnt cost more than a distraction for us this yr, monetary wise we didnt pay him a brass wazoo over accept when he was actually playing for us in the limited time when he was not Head FF'ed, which injuries, well [censored] happens as the T shirt says.

im [censored] he was a distraction after all this [censored] going down this week, im sure it didnt help the players during at least the 1st half of the yr, but hhis managers stilla f'n [censored], goes to say most managers probably are and should be barred from any negotaitons in future, what can I say, this FA thing is F'ed, if they are going to continnue with it then bring back the Edelsten days and get private ownership back on the agenda, perhaps Joe Gutnick returns, buys us an oval in an area that doenst resemble a country town and start getting those parasite couch potatoe supporters to start putting some bang in the old horse again period. When MFC were going we had upward of 40k turning up each week, now i hear echoes around grounds and it purely bites the big one....frig, now im depressed

Good.

My prediction is that we will soon get the 'it was all just rumours, I never had any intention of not returning to MelbourneFC' load of BS and he will be back with us

Most will swallow it whole, of course

There is too much bad will being thrown his way now, he doesn't have a choice

Still begs the question of whether we really want him/think he is up to the job

I just hope one day somebody can tell us exactly wtf has gone down here.

I wanna know if Mitch really is being a selfish [censored] and screwing us, or whether Roos just isn't interested. And if he isn't interested, why?

I just want answers dammit. Real answers. Help me!

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
