Neville Jetta: If only we could clone a version of him in every position.

Never gives up, knows what to do and where to be, and generally takes the best disposal option. Puts many of his more-skilled team-mates to shame.

Neville worked harder than most but against a rather strong tide today he was beaten, his opponent for most of the day was BOG.

Jetta and Jones were brilliant. Sure, we got spanked by an average outfit but that doesn't mean every player was terrible.

Is the Jetta everyone is raving about the same one whose direct opponent had 31 possessions? Sure Nev looked okay with the football, in contrast to most of his teammates, but a defender's primary job is to defend.

Possibly N.Jones aside, the analysis for the other 21 should be "was utterly sh1thouse".

Jetta has appeared in most of the media outlets best, so which direct opponent? when he picked up about 5 or 6 during the game, as part of the GWS plan was to continually rotate the midfielders, this is what caught us out a lot of time

I still think Nev was one of our best but spent a lot of time on Smith and was beaten. Not his fault as the delivery to Smith was spot on with no pressure up the ground. Yes he did rotate in the mids and it shouldn't have been a surprise to us as that's what all sides do.

Re Jetta: Most of the day he seemed to be on Rhys Palmer (10), who managed 17 possessions.

Palmer is 7, Howe played on him, Palmer kicked 4 goals.

Smith is 10, BOG...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
