Cant wait to see what weak excuse Saty will pull out this time.

WHY DON'T YOU LOVE THE CLUB DAZZLE?!!! CAN'T YOU HANDLE A LITTLE POSITIVITY?! YOU DON'T EVEN WATCH THE GAMES!!! BYAAAAAARGH!

Add a few more punctuation mistakes and a few unfunny jokes and I think you will have about got it.

How many times did I see a Melbourne player mark the ball today, stop then kick it over the mark? That style of play died at the start of the 60's/end of the 50's! It seems as if they want to take a breather whenever they get a mark.

It's a style that Roosy used successfully at Sydney. The issue is two-fold.

1) We have very few players with the speed or the licence from Roosy or the confidence to take the game on and counter-attack like other sides do. Watts has the speed but he's too scared to use it. Kent has the speed but he butchers it.

2) Roosy's game plan at Sydney was to wait and hold for a lead up the line and eventually the ball ended up in Goodes or Hall's or O'Keefe hands. With Dawes and Frawley unable to do any damage our attacking plan goes out the door and there's no plan B and Nathan Jones, Watts and Crossy are the only ones who consider going up the middle and Watts barely gets it because he doesn't work hard enough.

There are further issues than that.

We don't run hard enough, due to a lack of runners, a lack of fitness, and today, a lack of work ethic. That means there's no overlap run giving the players options by hand, or options to kick to out in space.

Another issue is that most of our players are timid and don't want to be the one to turn it over. That pressure makes them look sideways and backwards for someone who is unmanned so that they can pass the buck and let someone else try the harder kick forwards.

The lack of spread and the lack of confidence are just as bad as anything.

This in particular was on full display today. You can sense the dread in the players when they stop and look for an option. They don't want to be the one that turns it over to the groans of the crowd so eventually take the sideways or backwards safe option.

When you're unwilling to take on any risks at all, you become paralysed.

Roos was outcoached big time today no moves worked until he ran out of moves he must share some of the blame surely

Its not about blame jack it about fixing the bloody problem.

IMO I have a hell of a lot of faith in Roos fixing the problem than any of the previous (so called) coaches we've had.

Would love to know what has gone wrong since the Port game in Alice Springs. We looked like knocking off the best team in the competition at the time and had already knocked up 3 gutsy wins. It was at that point you got the feeling that the penny had finally dropped and this side was going to match it with anyone. Barely 2 months on and now this? All the good work done earlier in season has been undone with today's travesty putting a bit fat exclamation mark on it.

Tyson played well for the first had, especially in the first with 10 touches, but i find that he tires out too easily and just jogs to contests half the time. I saw this at least twice while i was watching in the 3rd quarter. Let's hope its due to his limited pre season and not because he thew in the towel.

Nothing wrong with Roos game plan it came down the players who did not have the football smarts, skill, or speed to cover the GWS players. The GWS had players running free all over the place as the demons continued to pay them no respect of stayed in stupid zone patterns. The GWS cut them to ribbons with their delivery as we were always second to the ball. Our forwards applied very little pressure to GWS players, in the first half our backs and mids disrupted this flow but in the second half the GWS players just danced around them. Kent absolutely butchered the ball far too often and let his man get far too many easy possessions, so many players were so busy watching their man that they let the man with the ball run free. An insipid performance and the axe must swing and swing hard, swap what you can and get what you can for any players that have any sort of currency, though on todays form not very few would have impressed any other coach. We have shot ourselves in the foot big time today, as we have shows GWS and other teams what they will be signing up for if they come to the MFC, not something many would want, so we are going to be a long way down their preference order unless we pay massive overs again. Depressing.

It is time for the AFL to step in and help the dees out. A priority pick is now almost needed to stimulate some trading with the MFC. We are not attracting anyone with our current situation, and stand to fall further behind.

Our membership is going to cop a belting. The club needs urgent help. Another 2-3 years of this and the club will have missed an entire generation of supporters. The AFL must swallow their pride and do the unpopular thing and give the Dees a p/pick in the first round.

Based on todays performance our problems are massive but when looking at the season as a whole we have improved on last season.

Roos knows what it takes to get to the top and that's what gives me confidence in his ability to get us on the right track.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
