Pretty pi55 weak from a lot of supporters this week unfortunately. We had a disappointing loss last week (despite leading by 3 goals early in the last quarter), the game before we were a bees d1ck away from beating Port at the Adelaide Oval, and on a few occasions this year we have put in brave performances against highly regarded opposition. Of course there has been the Freo, Geelong and West Coast losses which have been bad (still not the 100 point plus pantsings of years gone by). Not saying we definitely wont suffer badly today but I am going in a lot more hopeful and optimistic than most other 'supporters' on here. I am predicting a 30 point loss, not the 15 goal spanking many others are predicting.

I've had a foot in both the optimistic and the pessimistic camps this week. All I will say about this post is that I probably wouldn't have called supporters of this club "pi55 weak" for being apprehensive about this one.

I don't care about the margin. I just want to see them run and take the game on. Please roosey.

Who cares if we get smashed

yes. we can hardly win, so this is the perfect week for throwing caution out and having a go at quick movement. Gotta take the risk sooner or later.

Dare I say it, after the "wooden spoon" thread? - but perhaps we don't care so much about the margin - just to see something in our own play that we've been waiting/believing/hoping for...

I actually had a dream about this game last night where we absolutely smashed them. I believe we played an eight goal to two first quarter and still didn't go back into our shells. It was the best result I've seen in years!

Don't think I'll be watching/listening/checking the scores at any point today. Wouldn't want to kill my buzz.

MFCSS much?

:(

Surely we are sick of it , time to fight . Its a contact sport would love to see as attack the body in first ten miutes rag doll a few and be the aggressors all game .

I am going. Looking forward to see how they travel after last week. The Hawks touched us up in a pre-season practice match as I recall but we were competitive. Will be interesting to see how much has changed. The Hawks may be impacted by the expected rain but given our poor skills last week we will probably be worse effected.

anything less than a win is a failure

that should be our attitude regardless of opposition, venue, whether report

Apprehensive, yes, but most of what has been written is much more than that.

We've played well against Port, twice (once during their 8-game winning streak, if anyone's worried about calling Port any good). We were also competitive all night against Sydney, though not really in the game too much.

Conversely, we were belted by Fremantle and Geelong.

I'm not sure we are any chance of playing this like our Port games, so I'm hoping for this to go down more like the Sydney game. Competitive, not embarrassed, but in the end never a chance.

Carlton giving the Suns a serious touch up, GWS taking it right up to NORF

Drove down Punt Road about an hour and a half ago and thought I saw Riley at the training ground doing sprints with two other blokes and a Melbourne official.

After basking in the sun for three weeks and feeling like a long distance supporter, I thought I should make the effort today.

They are really throwing Barry into the deep end by giving him a full game.

I love that though. Give him a role to play against the best in the business and see how he goes.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
