Good to see Harmes and Kent back

Indeed, for both. Harmesy has shown quite a bit in his first year so far.

When did coburg become the lions?

Soon as Richmond Tigers came into the VFL

When did coburg become the lions?

Weren't they originally the Lions before the alignment with Richmond?

Posted

They started in the VFA as the Lions. Changed to the Tigers when they partnered with Richmond.

When that partnership ended last year, they reverted back to the Lions.

Good to see Harmes and Kent back

Harmes impressed me in a few of his games earlier in the season before he punctured his lung. The week before he was injured he picked up around 30 possessions and I had him marked down as a possible rookie elevation later in the season. I think he's ahead of Jayden Hunt who will need a lot more development time.

Harmes, I think could possibly play AFL next year.

Saw Harmes a few times last year for Country and the Stingray's. Had hoped we'd get him in the third round, so was rapt that we got him in the rookie draft. Courageous and generally makes good decisions.

WJ, you must have missed Visy last week, in the mud where I thought Hunt would just got knocked out of the way because of his slight build, he actually picked up and took a big step forward, Brett Allison also agreed, that being said at training you can see why we rookied Harmes, hopefully he can pick it up again after a week off

Also put this in a couple of threads, Clisby left training yesterday with what looked like tightness in his lower back/glutes/top of thighs, asked him and he said he was fine, but obviously isn't

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
