I wouldn't be dropping Salem tonatopia. For mine, with what little be did, e looks the goods.Depending on how Toumpas plays, I'd consider him or Blease for Byrnes. Edited by Return to Glory

I can't believe we just beat the Crows in Adelaide.

It's bloody unbelievable.

No negativity to any player this week please.

Fair call Ron.

PR,doesnt give games to reserve players unless warranted.

likes to stick with same 22 if possible.

learn how to defend a game together, and learn when and how to attack.

classic shutdown footy is a team thing and PR wont change things when everybody is sticking to the game plan.

macdonald is growing in confidence every game, lets not sweat on his mistakes yet.

Salem.may not have got big numbers but his pressure, tackling, bumping and shepherding was outstanding for a kid in his second game. I reckon he would have thrived had georgiou been subbed in the first instance.

Give him a full game.

I am amazed by the continual hope for Blease to get a game over player x. I think that horse is close to bolted and would take a mammoth turn around in the boy that I dont think he has in him.

Agreed. Has done nothing to speak of at Casey.

At the moment he is completely and utterly undeserving of a spot in the side, and as long as Brett Allison's reviews continue to say things like 'he needs to work on the defensive side of his game' he will remain undeserving.

Bit harsh on Frawley. He was injured. Presented.

Grimes : Gutsy & Great

Jetta : proving me and a few others wrong. Well done for persevering

JKH : Thought he was NAB /Foxtel flavour of the week. I was wrong !!!

Bail/Terlich/Dunn : Roman road builders (everything in a straight line)

Howe : Confidence returning

Watts : showed good heart and chased.Next step confidence return.

Coaching Staff : Patient & Progressive

Macca: Another dragon slain.

Dangerfield : dont need him ( he is good, though !!)

Jones/Dawes/Grimes : Leadership and courage

Viney: Learning from Cross

Cross: Great pickup because he plays with heart

Doesn't a win change attitude ???

Notice in last couple of weeks : no head dropping when things go awry.

Frawley - hampered early with injury, but gutsed it out and kept one of Crows best defenders busy

...and allowed us to keep the rotations going. Not his best day but he did his job under trying conditions...injury.

He now reminds me of Kane Tenace. Has the pace but could do little with it. Like you say - needs a mammoth turn around to retain his spot on the list.

I am surprised that some posters were unimpressed with Salem. The goal that he kicked when he was first substituted was inspiring! I am sure the Roos will select him again next week!

A la Blease I think we all live in hope, that is all. At least he was one of the picks from that abominable period where BP was calling the shots and he had an obvious weapon, that maybe BP actually saw, who knows. He is quick and gee do we ever need leg speed on the outside but unfortunately it seems Sam's brain will never catch up with his speed of body. And if after 5 years he is still learning to be defensive in the magoos well, let's just move on, which is a real shame.

I have watched him play in the VFL and he looks the goods but he so often wins the ball and unloads a spearing pass straight to the opposition. It is so frustrating.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
