Melbourne Vs West Coast Round 2

Simpson confident he'll play.

I get the impression West Coast will err on the side of risk, as they are despearte to start 3-0 before a tough encounter V Geelong at Simmonds.

I disagree BBP why risk him when they can win this game with one leg in the air.

This the ideal week to rest players who are 95% ready

They can win this game by 10+ goals without too much effort

Knowing our luck Shuey will make a miracolous recovery by the weekend with a 42 possession 4 goal game.

Keep pedo in, he owes us a good game, redemption is high on my list, keep bail, he's alright and not as bad as many think, Gawn in and my prediction is a 2 goal upset, dees to win, barman....same again thanks

my thoughts: most thought we would beat Saints = lose, most think we will lose to west coast = win....logical isn't it.

LW I thought you had demanded a new name for Pedo as it brings back inappropriate memories for some in the religious orders?

We were not expecting to win this ever with our best team, it would obviously have been wonderful if we did, but it isnt going to happen. Best we can hope for is a good showing by the team doing the things Roo's has been teaching them and working on their game plan, etc using this as a practice match, which could be advantageous given we seem to play better in practice matches than real games.

You don't think we did on the weekend? Or you just don't trust us against better opposition?

Four quarters against the Saints is once thing, doing it against a team that can punish quickly is another. I want to see us competing for longer against teams like that.

FWIW I think the style Roos wants us to play will suit us more on the G anyway, but we will be working with no forward line again so we need to play smart, competitively, and unlike last week, take our chances.

I know what I've indulged in so am retiring for the night. Having a brazillian tomorrow. A prayer or 2 might be helpful Lord.

Should make things easier to find

Will be a litmus test for this "new" Melbourne. Lets see how the Roos inspired list handle a caning.

Im serious. Will they wilt of old or keep to their task even whilst being turned into fertliser.

Im intrigued.

Funny how this season still runs to a familiar course.

It will be turn over capital city on Sunday. The Dogs are a more polished side than we are and the Eagles pressured them heavily by hunting in packs, forcing the Dogs into dishing the ball out to a team mate with no chance of clearing it.

Imagine how our boys will fair?

Eagles by at least 12 goals.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
