My thoughts:

  • Kennedy-Harris is an exciting pick up. He isn’t all that quick but reads the game very well and uses the ball effectively.

Yes - after all the training reports I was expectng him to be lightening quick - when he was almost run down whilst kicking the sealer I thought - He isn't that quick.

But now that I think about it - it was his first game and that was at the end of the game - so maybe he was just fatigued. The young guys (King/JKH/Salem) probably get fatigued after 20 mins of play.

It is my observation that the good players always seem to be able to get the kick or hand pass away in time.

Speed is a mental as well as physical thing.

Looking at his underage reports he was said to be quick over the first few paces but not an out and out speedster. Ideal for a footballer.

Just heard Mario from Doncaster on the radio.

Classic :)

What did he say?

Also for those saying about JKH and his media skills, he was co captain of the oakleigh chargers so he did a bit of speaking and he also does some acting work. he has been on neighbours and if anyone has seen those PSO ads he is the guy with the headphones on that is underneath a station and he sees a shadow and turns around and sees the 2 PSO officers coming. They said his acting work has helped hit a lot talking tot he media.

ranted that Richmond were "Mental Midgets" who should have won by over 100 points.

It was amusing but not his best rant.

He is value!!

Yeah good point DC. A fairly serious character apparently found 40 days and 40 nights enough.

i think we are more in the Moses camp than the Noah camp when it comes to wandering in the wilderness BBO

but nice to see you remember some of your childhood jesuit studies. lordweaver would be pleased

Another such character lead his people through 40 years of wandering in a desert ...

Just watched the game again and i have to say i'm really impressed with Bail. Not sure how many touches he had but always seemed to be pushing for the option up front. Loved that goal in the third when he busted through the pack, picked up the ball and goaled. Also not sure about the effectiveness that Tyson had but it 'seemed' that he made quite a few skill errors throughout the game.

Also as poor as Pedo was last year, you have to hand it to him for giving it everything on Friday night. Certainly wasn't backing away from anything this time round, and seemed to run himself into the ground. Good on him.

Bail was good.

I am tempering my thoughts a tad waiting for more exposed form but he has started very well.

He is a bold worker who runs all day - he can play. We just haven't seen enough of it for varying, and worrying, reasons.

a player always runs slower with the ball too.

they lose the motion of their arms for extra momentum and the fact you might have to bounce keeps you in check on how fast you should run.

Agree - Greg Williams?? Not that I am comparing nimble slender JKH with Williams in that regards, but Williams was a super quick thinker with the ball but slow as any top line AFL player I can remember on a run.

I was surprised with bail too.

to be honest, i thought he was done last season.

looks like he still has some life

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
