That's a joke, right?

To S-home, one posters view becomes the whole community's, especially when he relays these minority views to players.

Sorry, Mr Self Righteous, what are saying, I was saying that a lot of posters on here bemoaned the fact that we had delisted Magner, they are still saying it, never even discussed him except with him, never talk to players about other players......although most know I wear 39 and were telling me not to 'worry'

No you didn't say "a lot" and that isn't accurate either.

You said "everyone".

We made 12 changes to the list of 44, that's pretty substantial. If we only made 4 and retained Jetta then I could see a case, but we've got a lot of new blood.

Oh dear, sorry, didn't realise pedantry was so rampant on here, I must remember that

I never had that view of Magner, it was an infinitesimal number of posters. And you have already forwarded such views to players, I do not wish for you to continue picking up such divisive minority views and sharing them with players as if these few posters are a swathe of MFC supporters - they are not.

And you are always picking on whatever anyone says about any player/coach/training session - have some more self awareness.

To be accurate - I don't think many are bemoaning the delisting of Magner. There are a few ( who in my opinion rightly) are mystified as to why he wasn't given more of a go when his form at Casey and our complete lack of a midfield warranted senior selection.

Good luck Nev, Hopefully Roos gives you a role and you could be back on the list midway through the year if you can get your body right.

That is a beautiful avatar Rock'n'Roll, and a nice sentiment for Nev.

The mystery remains, ( Magner) why elevate to not play. its just odd. That he was delisted, not so much. Why Nifty got another look in..god only knows ( and the FD ) as though its not unheard of I cant really see him going far short of some epithany and a giant step up...But hey it might happen...and lotto...and.....

English is funny like that.

You need to type the words that actually represent what you are trying to get across.

A couple of people had hissies over Magner being cut and suddenly it's everyone. That is not accurate, it's not even partially accurate. It is just plain wrong.

You have an Us V Them mentality, build a bridge mate the world is full of various shades of grey..

Exactly... except I would say there were more than a few posters on here who questioned the fact that he wasn't promoted, on a weekly basis. If I remember rightly, there was also a lot of speculation that there must have been some sort of rift formed between Neeld and Magner, as that could be the only way of explaining it.

A very good point.

Thanks hardtack, I ignore the rest of the posting police......they post something and immediately forget it......perhaps I should quantify going forward......such as in my opinion there are one or two posters who post self righteous twaddle

I am so glad that none of us on here have anything whatsover to do with list management

Exactly right.

Really like the bloke.

Might as well have my Mum on the list instead though. They'll play a commensurate amount of games for the club going forward.

Emma Quayle never wrote a thing about Mrs Burgundy.

What team was she in last year?

Glad to see him back for one more season. Too many prospects have withered on the vine due too poor development. I think he can make genuine progress under Roos.

All we ask is that you don't put words in our mouths - I would say, and have said, that to any poster.

Especially since you like repeating what these fans say to players.

Nev has a lot in common with his 2008 draft mates Blease, Strauss & Bail.

They have all spent a lot of time injured and showed promise in patches, and have had to play in one of the worst sides of all time, so it's not unreasonable to give them another chance.

On the other hand, none of them have been able to sustain good performances for one reason or another. So 2014 is the make-or-break year for all 4 of them. Unfortunately, any who spend a lot of the season injured won't get another chance.

Strauss and Blease at least have attributes that could be considered elite in kicking and pace respectively, which makes it worth persisting with them. Jetta has nothing.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
