Good and fair trade IMO. Vince fills a need and it's a fair price to pay for that as well. Vince, Tyson, Michie and still Pick 9 to come as well. Has been a very good off season so far!

FA has worked in our favour....this time.

Excellent. This trade actually excites me more than the Tyson one because we have guarenteed improvement and support in the midfield from Round 1 next year.

Well done to the brains trust.

this is awesome

Vince is better than Sylvia

Absolutely stoked. I thought all the action happened on the final day of trade period? lol

A genuine mid to help in the middle. As disappointed as I was to lose Col, I have to admit this has worked out pretty bloody well.

Turned 28 just 16 days ago, the boy has plenty of good footy left

Coming of a season where he averaged 20.6 disposals, and kicked 13 goals 11 behinds in 21 games

Excellent news, but could be some disappointment in the Jones household. We won't be getting Zac Jones now. Well, unless he slips to pick 40 ...

Unless we trade a player for a pick in the 20s. I found myself forgetting that there's a whole entire week still to go! Plenty could still happen.

Isn't there a week to go for the trade period? We could yet do a trade to get a pick in the early 20s.

Just so happy to be getting Vince. But just so disgusted about the Hawks CEO's statement about it all not being fair. As Pantaloons says, just picking up players

from cellar dweller teams or teams that just can't quite get there - look at North and Port and Crows recently - as though they were entitled to them and no one else was. Narcissism.

Two years of very good trading, hiring and drafting

Viney at pick 26 (steal)

Toumpass (went one place later than expected)

Hogan (mini draft)

Dawes (solid player)

M Jones (impressive first season)

Terlich(impressive first season)

Tyson (a good get whilst keeping a first round pick)

Minchie (highly rated by many clubs)

Vince (better than Sylvia)

Pick 9 (assurance for the future)

Peter Jackson (thank you AFL)

Paul Roos (thank you PJ)

Stone (credentialed and proven assistant Improving most of the above)

That's a turn around on 10 players in the right hands

Yeah I'm on Facebook but I normally just put photos of my daughter up as opposed to mundane crap in my life. All good, I got it.....and laughed.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
