Paul Roos - he is now our King

Apologies - I know there's a Paul Roos for coach thread already, but, having just watched OTC tonight, and having observed the slander directed towards him by Richard Colless and others at the Swans tonight, I felt angry.

Paul Roos is our man now. He's no longer our potential coach. He's now our leader.

Get behind him.

I love the man.

I just want wins to be honest

Of course, but the theatre of the off season also can also have bearing on a club, or at the minimum its supporters. I know that I feel some hope again after feeling dead inside all last season. That's worth more than I can put into words.

Yep, time to get behind him. Can't think of him anymore as the personification of the Swans. In Roos we trust.

Btw Ron, am I wrong in recalling you making similar posts/threads about Neeld? :)

I think your love is much better directed this time.

I am the same. Any other coaching appointment would have completely deflated me (if I could have been any further deflated after this season).

I liked the steel in the rooster's eyes when he talked of moving on.

Roos should stay with us then, as the Swans like every other team are our enemy that must be crushed at nearly all costs.

Unlike Messendon the MFC says NO to Drugs.

To the DH in SWANS, slander our King as much as you like, we just love him more and you just look like a bunch of LOSERS!

C'MON THE DEES!

Yep ... let's shed that nice guy image and start stepping on a few toes.

We should become the Ryan Crowleys of the competition both on and off the field.

I particularly like that sort of attitude on the field, especially during the coming period in which our players with talent are developing. If we play with that persistent in your face attitude week in, week out, then the 15 goal floggings become a thing of the past and we start winning games we were never expected to win.

If a large percentage of our game is played in the head, we've been headless for the past seven years.

Now we can start again.

Football is business, and Roos has committed to his role burning past bridges to ensure his future success.

Change is a powerful thing, and this club is showing clear signs of change.

Exciting times ahead under the direction of Roos.

You're right P Man. I'm a bit embarrassed about that. Took me a while to figure that bloke out. Too long in fact.

I think I'm on the money this time though, even if I initiated this thread after far too many birthday drinks ( ... scotch by the way).

The club/Roos are being proactive in recreating this place ( MFC) as a destination of interest for the upcoming silly seasoned circus.

Good work !!

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
