More importantly, I need a new profile name... maybe we can discuss that instead? :)

I thought that's all it was as well.

DB did have a fair bit of contact with SD. There were also injections given to at least 7 players in January 2013. It may be related to WADA approved substances, but... Once the dog's are unleashed... Who knows...?

There was mention of injections (vitamins and anti-oxidants) which were all apparently confirmed by the administering medical clinic. This all came out following the 7:30 report last April. http://www.triplem.com.au/melbourne/sport/afl/news/stephen-dank-linked-to-melbourne-football-club/

I call for a life ban on Mark Neeld so the MFC can move on!

Just heard on 3AW Demetriou say that the investigation will now move on to investigate one player at another club didn't mention which club or player

Surley its Bock from the Suns? Didnt he get implicated way back at the start?

Could be Trengove, could also be Angus Monfries given he was at Essendon last year?

At least we know Trengove wasn't injected. I believe the cream is not banned, only an injection.

I have no idea how you could even ban a cream, plus Trengove wasn't playing at the time, so this did not in any way enhance his performance (quite bloody clearly).

I just can't see how we can be punished, when all involved with this have now left, and the other two (Craig and Mahoney) will likely be removed at year's end anyway.

What ASADA does is a different story. But if we were never injected with banned substances, and it appears we weren't, than we have nothing to worry about.

At least unlike Essendon, we didn't "lose the paperwork".

Got a feeling this will come to nothing, if Jobe Watson can admit to taking a banned substance and sign a form saying he took it, surely Jack Trengove will be fine, AFL will just come up with some story to help out PJ,

even a few month ago he was asked on the radio if he thought the AFL would investigate MFC after methendon and he said " i am of the opinion this is not a matter that concerns the MFC in any way"

Yes, but Jobe Watson isn't in the clear yet... not by a long shot. The AFL chose not to impose any penalties on the players, but ASADA/WADA are nowhere near finished with them yet... there is still a strong chance that the bummers could be without quite a few of their players a bit further down the track.

Ah i didn't realise that, good! spent all last night frustrated thinking they got off soft haha

either way i have a funny feeling that the Melbourne investigation will come to a big pile of not much, the AFL knows ANY punishment would almost kill us.

Whatever "cream" Trengove used must have had a slowing effect..Certainly doesn't move well these days..

I find it hard to believe that an AO6 cream would be banned, not doubting that peopl here no their stuff but you can buy them for cosmetic use, surely the AFL can't slap him with a two year ban for a beauty product, trenners is abit of a pretty boy, i reckon he could convince them.

he apparently used bondcrete instead of the aod cream by mistake

There's never been more to this than a text message. If no-one can find evidence of Bomber players taking anything given their industrial style substance program how would there be evidence of a tube of cream for Trenners which he may have received but possibly never used?

And the shot Dunn is supposed to have spoken of sounds like it would have been one of the approved vitamin shots alluded to in another text.

I genuinely feel on reflection that we are cool.

Pretty sure the MFC staement after the 7:30 report confirmed that the 'injections' were just vitamins, and sounds liek we have the records because it wasn't done in a dodgy backyard clinic.

''The 7.30 report referred to injections. These injections were prescribed by Dr Bates and comprised vitamin B, C and Glutathione (an antioxidant) injections to some players.

''These injections were administered by a registered nurse at a medical clinic recommended by Dank. The club has received confirmation from the medical clinic that the injections administered were as prescribed.

''The program also made reference to a cream which is not prohibited under ASADA and WADA guidelines.

''The program made reference to Thymomodulin, Cerebrolysin, Naltrexone, Tribulus and Oxytocin. None of these substances were prescribed by Dr Bates for players at the Melbourne Football Club.''

We do, but this is a little different because we can get done for not doing anything wrong.

Essendon are pying for their governance issues and their failure to live up to the duty of care they have to the players and the AFL Drug Code (they have no idea who got what when).

We apparently didn't know (I really hope we did) Bates was using Dank or his pharmacy. That constitutes a governance issue right there and I hope that long list of supplements we revealed in a press release were kept by the Dr so that they are the gospel truth. Otherwise, we also don't know who got what when...

We obviously didn't set up the kind of regime that the Bombers did but we did allow the players to be exposed to someone like Dank. It's really less worrying if Craig and Misson knew what was going on, but if that were the case why didn't we come forward and put our hand up when the Bombers were exposed? (As Jackson said when he first came on board "the club was naive" to not notify the AFL, I hope it was, because it is better to know facts and be naive than to not know who is injecting your players with substances.)

The story has yet to play out...

I've forgotten what we were supposed to have done. Did Jack Trengove get some cream rubbed on his foot or something?

Yep, some AOD 9604 cream was procured, I think upon Dank's recommendation.

I'm pretty sure though that we have lost the receipt from the Chemist's and anyway have no record of its usage.

Jack will recall the application of some Vitamin E ointment.

3AW: Demetriou says it's been "absolutely" confirmed that AOD-9604 was administered to Essendon players.

If ASADA/WADA then decide to issue infraction notices to Essendon, I reckon we're in trouble to. There is a very good chance we also administered AODee to our players.

Throws a long shadow over Essendon's capacity to enter the next two drafts via trade.
