Their season is over .

NicNat about to be dropped.

Watts in our best every week.

Who woulda thunk it.

Playing Cale is admission that you have given up.

Can't we just forget about Cale Morton? Why is there a need to start a thread every time he gets a game with the Eagles?

I can only assume the OP thought it was his first game in Eagles colours.

I think there are at least two other threads floating around from the last couple of weeks though...

Do we have to start a new thread about cale Morton every time he plays!? Time to seriously get over it and move on. We stuffed up our pick, happens everywhere we now just have to live with it and move on.

Mods please delete this stupid thread..!

I just turned on the TV to watch the match.

Cale kicks a running goal from 50 m.

The ball goes up the other end after the bounce.

Cale is standing in the " hole" with the pack coming. He stands his ground gutsily and earns the free when he's crashed. Delivers it well to a team mate.

9 disposals, one mark, one goal. Fair to say you've seen his highlights. I hope for his sake he can keep it up but statistically he isn't setting them on fire for a guy presumably playing half back deep into the third quarter.

10 disposals at 100% efficiency and a goal in 20 minutes of play, good god

Didn't know he was the sub. That's not a bad effort.

He was a pick number 4, hopefully west coast is the right place for him to start to play some good footy

I wish I could be as gracious as you lot.

I see a bloke we spent pick 4 on and, despite his talent, did not give anywhere near his best for the jumper and refused to get hurt. As a result he contributed to many losses and clogged a spot on our list for 5 years.

Not his biggest fan that's for sure.

Speaking of high draft picks, any word on Watts re-signing? he said it would all happen when his manager got back to Australia but still no word

Nic Nats stats 12 possies 1 mark 26 hitouts. People get so carried away with him taking a good mark or doing something exciting. A ruckman like him and someone who has his talent taking 1 mark doesnt help. I think even our two ruckman are doing better.

Does a pretty mean impersonation of a palm tree though.

Could West Coast be persuaded to trade him back to us for our top draft pick?

If we throw in some of the AFL's money as a sweetener?

Could we delist sellar and re-draft him on 1,000,000 a year?

Two kicks, ten handballs, one grab.

Gerald Healy has him BOG.

That says it all really. So many people have been conned by NikNat's flashy play that they can't see past it to the fact that he simply isn't that damaging. Same thing with his AA last year. He might get there, but he hasn't done it yet.

Incidentally, well done Cale on having a better game. If he keeps this up they might just keep him.

I always thought Cale could play, and was sad to see him go, but we're not the lost dogs home. He had enough time on the list without doing much, and it was time to go. So be it if someone can get something from him we'd never had got.

As for nicnat: AA last year - ha. Give him my skin color and my hair and he'd have as many bog's and aa's as I do. He can jump and if he gets within 3 feet of the ball he'll destroy you, but getting him in that 3 feet zone... Can that be taught?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
