Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Spoke to a mate.

Apparently Andrew Walker had a massive argument with Mick Malthouse and wants out.

Roos rates him very highly.

Suggested trade is pick 2 for Walker + Pick 13

More Facebook rubbish.

whoever is traded for #2 will need to play for 8-10 seasons..

Pls keep this in mind when posting. Might add some credibility....just saying

This is a RUMOUR thread.

The purpose of this thread is for rumours.

I posted a rumour I heard, I will continue to post rumours I have heard in this thread dedicated to rumours.

We are all Melbourne supporters here. If you don't like rumours and only facts, then don't post in this thread.

I fear though Hogan may be another Scott Thompson ie will want to go home after 2 years. The dockers after all have an urgent need for a key forward post Pav. It might make some sense to use that to get the structure we need.

As much as I would adore Hogan to be our Wayne Carey ( which I suspect he is well and truly capable of), we may not be seeing the longer term view here. The forward line is not our major problem, with the possible exception of a quick crumbling type ( a la Betts), but quality mids are.

We need urgently to assess where hogan is at, and this is extremely difficult to do since he has not yet played a game and will be with us for at least the next two years. Over that time, I think we will get our act together re the mid field and we may find ourselves top 4 in two year's time ( yes you heard it here first folks). In those circumstances, hogan might develop a high incentive to stay, in which case our problem disappears. But if we don't, then it may make huge sense to trade him in the next 18 months.

I'd be willing to bet we wont be top 4 within 2 years. It's very hard to make top 4 these days from outside the 8 the year previous and we aren't close to making the 8 next year.

There's no need to panic about where Hogan is yet. At least wait until this time next year when he's got a year left on his deal but he also has played some AFL on the G under Paul Roos. At that time I think his manager and he will be much more willing to renegotiate a contract extension. They just don't have any negotiating power off VFL performances with 2 years remaining on the deal.

The great hope for us is the Freo either win the flag next year or Pav breaks down and retires and they have to replace him next year whilst Hogan still has a year to run on his contract. West Coast are nicely set with Kennedy and Darling for at least the next few years.

But the best bargaining tool we can get is winning and mate ship. We start winning and Hogan is still mates with Viney and Toumpas then he wont go anywhere.

Andrew Walker has had a run in with Mick Malthouse and has already been in talks with Collingwood, Melbourne and Geelong. Pick 2 has been offered by Melbourne, Geelong has offered Travis VARCOE, Taylor Hunt and a second round pick, while Collingwood have offered Heath Shaw and a third round pick. You heard it here first guys

Look - like he said - it's a rumour and that's what this is all about - if you're taking all that stuff too seriously you need to re-think..

You posted "Savage chooses Carlton" yesterday and later confirmed you got it from Facebook - hypocrite - that's twice you've done that - called people "flogs" for posting Facebook rumours and done exactly the same yourself.

You're vying with hogans_heroes and demoneyes for Most Annoying this trade period.

Theres a big difference between rumours and absolute rubbish.

This is absolute rubbish and you should know that as walker DOES NOT fit the caliber of a 8 year play for pick 2. Walker is not a midfielder. But you keep living on the fantasies 50

The facebook rumour was straight from the AFL website which reported it aswell.

Funny how that Facebook page I put up inboxed me when I asked a trade question that he was a Melbourne supporter and posts on Demonland aswell.

You do the maths.

In your humble opinion.

How did your "Savage chooses Carlton" pan out?

I've done the maths and your self rating >>> than your actual rating.

Lots of chatter about Andrew Walker leaving Carlton. Believe it started with Bigfooty and now this on AFL trade updates (it's source is twitter):

Solid Mail Malthouse and Andrew Walker have fallen out and will be traded to Dees for pick 2 #TradeDebate @barrettdamian @TripleMRushHour

Very much a grain of salt rumour at this stage.

If they've fallen out can Walker head straight into the PSD or is he contracted?

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
