That is correct. The only two clubs seriously interested in getting Shaw are us and Geelong. We are meeting up with him to see where his preference is at and where he sees his footballing future. If Geelong don't pick him up, he'll become a Demon most likely, unless a 3rd team pops up late like a North or Rich and swoops.

This is what I have been told. We are in the boxseat to get Luke Shuey. He wants to come back to Victoria and would happily come to Melbourne as he barracked for us as a kid and is good mates with Jack Viney. Essendon are circling though and might offer a Carlise and Colyer to get Shuey to the Bombers. Jeremy Laidler will most likely be a Demon next year aswell. We have shown the most interest. Janesch to Melbourne is more than likely as he wants to return to Victoria. Daniel Cross is 95% over the line but Carlton have had chats with him. Liam Patrick will be picked up with a late pick in the draft or free agent (not sure on status) This one surprised me when my mate told me but we have spoken with Richmond's Aaron Edwards. I'd like us to have a look at Liam Anthony and Levi Greenwood from North. Both not getting consistent games but both could be very good players. Love Greenwood's attack on the football. He racked up 39 touches against us in the last game of the season in 2010 but found it hard to crack into North's inside midfield brigade. Liam Patrick would be handy as a forward pocket. Has a bit of spark. Wouldn't be surprised if we picked up Alex Brown who got delisted from the Swans couple of the days ago either. Has pace and can read the play well from reports. I'd love us to go down the path of Fremantle and going big bodied midfielders like Fyfe and Mundy.

Apparently Collingwood has offered him a 2 year deal + coaching gig after football but Chappy is contemplating to sign at the Pies or go to Essendon who are offering him a 3 year deal. Chappy is only 31. He won't be coming to us.
