So your telling me they're a good team of tough players???????

I didn't know you were asking a question after 4 question marks, but I was convinced after the 7th.

I think the 40 odd players would have some thoughts on your highly insightful comments.

Well they had bloody better. I'm sick of going to ALL the games and watching them GIVE UP.

PJ knows, and is already thrilled, but is smart enough to know timing is everything. He will announce it when is is best for the club.

Sometime after the bluey. It will depend when contract is signed. The club is aiming for Friday, it will be up to Roos.

Imo he will announce it before that for exactly that reason, i'm thinking friday or saturday but that's only a guess

OTC monday would be like hell if he was going to announce it the next day anyway.

id be inclined to think Friday now

Word 'whispered' at Bluey, official announcement Friday at presser

of course someone ought to call Tammi, she'll know for sure

Bb's almost on the right track. A divorce to accompany the new position? Announcement Tuesday. Tammi & family in attendance.

Well they had bloody better. I'm sick of going to ALL the games and watching them GIVE UP.

Frawley, Garland, McDonald, Terlich, Nath Jones, Viney, Grimes, Gawn, Kent, Hogan, Clark, Dawes, Fitzpatrick, McDonald

It's a start. It's a collection of guys who will put their bodies on the line and as far as I can tell have some form of talent and work rate.

Now the list is crud and it's hard work finding 22 to pick each week who are near capable of winning yet alone will fight for 120 minutes. But there's enough for a new coming coach to deal with.

Of course a new coach shouldn't be seen as a messiah but we shouldn't be looking for a miracle. It shouldn't be that hard of we are smart and patient to get back to respectability. I'd take 5 wins next year and 8 the year after. We shouldn't need a miracle

I have direct contact with Watts manager, the feed back is very positive.

Positive? That we will trade I hope!

So another Messiah comes to save the day? You've got to be joking. The whole player group is terrible. Jesus Christ could not coach them to a grand final

Jesus Christ couldn't coach any team to too many wins, his game plan is older than Neelds...

David king was just on AFL360 and was concerned because of the price tag that Roos is going to come with.

He was concerned that other coaches who win the premiership will not want $900k but $1.00M plus.

King who gives a rats what coaches MIGHT want to get paid.

Could not care less think of something else to biutch about.

The guy is a [censored]. It's quite evident that whatever Melbourne does, King will find some fault with it. Ever since he went early on saying the Neeld appointment was a mistake, he's been intolerable. Moreso than usual.

He has sour grapes against the Demons because we knocked him and his team out of the 2000 and 2002 finals series

Hes just a cry baby

Remember that he is a North Melbourne. Sooks.

you have 14 but you named Mcdonald twice. I'd add Matt Jones though so that's Ok!

The interesting thing about it is that include Matt Jones, that list only contains 3 midfielders.

It has 3 KPDs, 4 KPFs, 1 Ruck, 2 medium/small defenders and a small forward/wing (Kent).

To be competitive the 14 should have 10 midfielders.

Hogan when I first read that line I thought you were suggesting that JC never existed, but then I realised that you were perhaps referring to Neeld - I've been in denial about Neeld for a long time now too, trying to tell myself that he never existed.

AF can you please advise what they are because I have struggled to see many the last two years.

Clark, Dawes, Viney, Frawley, Garland, Jones, McDonald (minus the brain fades), Trengove, Watts (with work rate) and a young kid called Hogan. There we go, OD. :P What do you think? Clark was pretty much injured all year. Dawes played half the year and played with restriction. Hogan hasn't played yet. Trengove's been suffering from a lack of pre season and possibly OP, and I believe (as does Roos) that he still has A grade capacity. Frawley was in and out with injury and Watts doesn't know what his position is, but with some shrewd guidance and a position to make his own (the wing), he'll be up and about as well. Get some top notch support staff around Roos and there's much to be excited about. Things could turn quickly.

David King would be better served concentrating on North Melbourne - "The Chokers", AKA the Greg Norman of the AFL...

Norf are like watching WTA,except they squeal harder after the game.

Can't wait for the other clubs to blow up about the injustice. Will be golden.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
