I believe Mitch Clark's contract is up at the end of next year. If I'm incorrect please advise me. With that said has anybody else given any thought that he may leave at the end of next season? I'd say to head back to Perth. Pavlich will be gone, can see the Dockers making a move. Any thoughts?

Maybe we should deal with this years problems first.

It seems to me Mitch enjoys Melbourne, otherwise is doubt he'd go take so many photos!

He'll also be pretty settled by then. He also seems to have a real care about the demons and I think he's more loyal than his move to us makes him seem. He just wanted a decent contract to sure up his families future and Brisbane couldn't offer that.

I'd say if we could get things together on field and offer Mitch a reasonable contract without over paying that he'd be keen to stick around and help get some wins

He signed a 4 year deal so he's contracted until the end of 2015. We have much bigger issues!

cool thanks for the info

Yeah Clarke may leave just like Maloney, or Petard, or even Steph Martin. At least we still have Trengrove and Peterson, along with great staff like Mission.

Nah, he actually loves Melbourne. Hell stay i reckon

We do have bigger issues...but this guy....Is the guy we are to build & Rebuild the rebuild (LOL) the side around.Leader written all over him and leads by example!

Make no mistake....in my book the best player we have at MFC now. But yes he seems very happy at MFC apart from the frustration of his injury. He will be back. We wont be letting him go easy after chasing him so hard!

Wouldn't be surprised. And if his runs with injury are still like what they are now, then I'll drive him to the airport.

We don't need another injury prone coulda-been that hangs onto the club's salary like Lyon used to.

Yep, what a hack ;)

You can't prepare for injuries in a contact sport unfortunately its just one of those things that happens and happens to all clubs.

I think it hits us worse than most due honour lack of depth.

If you knew that the Pav and Sandi would be out all year who would rate the Dockers this highly? Shows how good they are... And how good we ain't

Back on topic, I'm not sure if this has received the coverage it should have but I don't think this item achieves what it presumably set out to do - Misson clarifies Clark’s injury status.

I thought Clark's current injury problems had nothing to do with his 2012 Lisfranc injury other than that he had to have some screws from the operation removed earlier than anticipated. It was my understanding that what caused this injury was otherwise not related. Now I'm not so sure about the nature of the injury or the time Clark's going to miss from the game.

The season's shot anyway so if he must miss the rest of it, you won't get any complaints from most fans but please - it's time to get frank about Mitch's Lisfranc.

'Jack', at the time of the injury this year I posted that the language used was ambiguous. It seemed to me something was wrong and badly wrong. Looks to be the case here and Misson hasn't clarified anything to date.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
