  1. Your one is pretty cool and retro, but wouldn't cut it as an official emblem of a AFL club. I personally love the current one, I think its by far the best in the league. Now if we could only play ...
  2. Thought it was amusing lol. Hoping and praying that P.J and the new board can make it happen! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=542561665785747&set=a.165766316798619.29951.130498966992021&type=1&relevant_count=1&ref=nf
  3. True, this bloke can lead alright... Would be a worthy captain. When he speaks, you listen
  4. Would love to see Blease play the forward pocket. He's an attacking machine. He'd spend his time in the the forward 50 up to around forward flank, he shouldn't have any problems with his current fitness level
  5. think its pretty obvious mate. We have one of the lowest supporter base in Vic, and our last 7 years suggests we are stuffed for supporters in the future. why do you think trenners and all the boys are calling all our young members to thank them for their support. Great initiative I think, why else would anybody follow this rabble unless they were born into it like myself..
  6. I'd be astounded if they rocked up next week with the beards still in tact. trying to look like a tough guy and then playing like a [censored]. I'm fed up with jack watts. On the other hand...Mitch Clark can grow a beard down to his feet for all I care. Our club is a laughing stock
  7. Played well. One of the few players I didn't cringe at when he had the ball. Pin point precision by foot. Good to see him back, hopefully he can maintain
  8. Absolutely stoked with this kid. Already proven to be a better KP player than watts. His hunger for the contest is awesome. Plus he's a big boy! There wont be any waiting for him to grow into his body with this bloke
  9. Why is this thread still open ... Thread starter is just stirring the pot for attention. I could reply as to why magner is clearly not a liability but I it would be like arguing with someone that the sky in blue.
  10. Love this kid. and I hope he gets a rep. I want the opposition to fear going near the ball when Tappy is around. You didn't see many ppl mouth off to Big Bad Bustling did you.
  11. I think you should look up the word 'Liability' in the dictionary before posting a thread like this.
  12. The bulldogs game was terrible.... Geelong game seemed OK to me. Doesn't deserve a thread IMO.
  13. Neeld has made it pretty clear the level and intencity he expects our boys to play at. Whether your name is Jack Watts, or Joe Blogs, if you're not laying a single tackle in a wet match, don't expect to play next week. More than fair IMO. But gee jack was frustrating to watch last week.
  14. Pretty amazed at the negative comments in this thread! The last 3 weeks have been an absolute disgrace, and we are deservedely 2nd bottom of the ladder. Don't expect us to turn it around in 1 week and play like a top 8 team. We are clearly terrible at the moment, because we are essentially starting from scratch again... GET USED TO IT! those who made comments along the lines of "bring back bailey".... Don't even waste my time with your useless comments. 4 years and the best he could do was 12th. We weren't great today, but we were better than last week, and last week we were better than the week before that. We are improving game by game, it's pretty obvious. Now with that said, a few observations about tonight game. Morton....Morton, Morton. Probably my most hated player BUT..... aside from 2 massive clanger kicks and a missed handball, he was actually OK. Took the game on a lot more especially in the last quarter, provided a bit of run that we desperately lack this year. The door cracks open and i see a sliver of light.... Davey. Best game i've seen from him in a long time, attacked the ball, dove into packs, 2nd and 3rd efforts, and put his body on the line in a marking contest against an opponent twice his size (he lost the contest but he tried!) I think Neeld may have finally gotten through to him. oh, and amaazing goal from the boundary on his non-preferred side. Gained a lot more confidence tonight. Bail playing half decent for the first time since his injury last year. Good signs coz we really need his pace. Beamer. Proved how much we missed him tonight. Although a bash and crash type, he's one of our most poised midfielders (says a lot about our midfield...) Need him there to step up as a senior for our young blokes. And Mitch. Looks like he's getting the hang of being the teams power forward. Intent is great, and his marks are sticking. very good signs. Hope his neck is OK. He is one tough man. All signs of improvement Oh, and Trengove is doing just fine don't worry about that. Can't believe how many of you have written him off. Speed or more specifically acceleration, isn't the only thing that makes great footballers. Look at Simon Black! Jack is a smart footballer, hard at it, and has been in our top 5 every game this year. The captaincy is not weighing him down. A few things that worry me: Our backline in general. Frawley always plays well bar a few hiccups here and there, Riv was great tonight, and the intent shown by the entire defence was good. But the disposal by most of our defenders is letting us down big time. Young mac and old mac are making bad decisions and poor disposal efficiency. Bartram is treading water and is a horrible kick. Garlands disposal of late is ordinary as well. We really need Strauss back in there to fill that void slightly. But not sure what else we are supposed to do there but draft ...... We'll get there.... eventually.
  15. yeah some guys just naturally gain it more easily than others. Guys like Cloke are just freaks. 196cm and 108kg, and able to run with the midfielders. Watts definitely at least needs to get up to about the reiwoldt size, around 95kg should do, then he'll have a bit more confidence to throw himself into packs. It naturally gives you that confidence to back yourself against another player. He seems to have lost a couple kg since last year though.... but definitely looking fitter.
  16. Lol good on u $cully. Too bad Trengove still beat u at 9.33. The true number 1 draft pick.
  17. did a quick youtube on him. looks like a natural footballer, but my god he needs to put on some size! same height as Jack Watts, but 10kg lighter, and we are all still saying Jack needs to put on a few more kg. Cook is only a year younger but I guess Jack was drafted at an earlier age so he had a bit more time to develop ... couple more preseasons and he could start doing some damage to opposition sides I reckon.
  18. Was hoping for a bit of intel on cook from this thread. Seriously fellas...move on ffs. Thread ruined
  19. I'm a sheep? I believe I was the first person to reply to this thread....lol and believe me I don't need to back up any arguments, ur complaining about using extra fabric ffs. I wonder if u even noticed the internal meltdown at this club 2 months ago.....
  20. was just gonna say if anything it makes their traps look bigger. Worst thread ever. Let's change our team colors to Orange.
  21. Ur kidding me right mate? That's the best part of the jumper. It separates us from the rest of the comp, we are the oldest football club on the world with the most heritage and it helps us wear it proudly. On top of that it looks awesome. Next you'll be telling us to modernize our navy and dark red to something new?
  22. NO! I don't want the added pressure/responsiblity to ruin his development. I definitely agree he should be added to the leadership group though, maybe as a co-vice. I reckon Beamer for the next 1-2 years though until Trenners can take the position with both hands.
  23. Does anybody know exactly how likely we are to recruit jaeger o'meara if we do happen to get 1st round picks in return for scully? I would much prefer another young gun and save the $$ otherwise wasted on overpaying Scully. A group of young guns in Jaeger and Jack Viney etc led by the maturing group of Chipper, Trenners, Watts etc has my mouth watering. Many bright years ahead.
