Come on Neeldy prove the masses wrong

This bloke was appointed because his reputation was solid at Collingwood. Somehow for reasons we are not privy to it has all come apart for him.

Surely he is better than this....surely!! We have to give this man time and show some faith.

But if you ain't got the cattle, you ain't got the cattle.

And if you've got the 18th ranked midfield, you're prone to being ranked really low for i50's and ranked really high for defensive i50 entries.

For Neeld's sake he needs the midfield to generate into something effective. And with Jones, Jamar, McKenzie (inj- coming back), a splattering of first year players in Viney, Toumpas, and some mature players who may be inconsistent - Sylvia, Bail, Jones......plus our skippers...

It really is an underwhelming midfield lacking quality and any cohesion at present.

But if you ain't got the cattle, you ain't got the cattle.

That is the sad truth

IMO we have the worst list including the newbys

I doubt JC could turn them into a side above fourth last.

In the same breath it is hard to believe that this list is 19 goals worse than Port.

In the first two Games we have not been AFL standard.

Is the list that bad?

I don't know but another similar result on Saturday and I will say yes

Sadly I think you are correct.

NO AFL team could keep their coach if he continued to coach and get results like the last two weeks.

On field currently we are a shambles.

That cannot continue for months, a few weeks pehaps but not months.

Lets not forget he has taken an average side to a poor side to one that is currently not even worthy of being in the competition.

God I hope they show some fight this weekend

You are supposing a clataclysm occurs against GWS.

I am expecting changes to the mindset of the players against WCE and solid improvement leading into the GWS game. I don't expect a loss.

I am hoping that some magic has been weaved at Sorrento and he has connected with the players.

Whilst i agree our mid field is woeful (which does beg the question why Neeld has been so focused on talls) by far the the biggest issue is the players are not playing for him.

If that is not solved he's gone. If he can fix whatever is broken then things will improve and he'll stay. I sincerely hope he gets to stay.

Neeld's coached 24 games so far and he's on his 3rd gameplan already.Remember the first few games last year where we hugged the boundary line coming out of the back pocket and by the time we played West Coast in round 4 or 5,Niknat would stand 5 metres in from the boundary line all day and he took mark after mark. Then he changed it up using more of the corridor and we got cut up on the rebound because of our poor foot skills. Now it the zone defence where we are standing 5-6 metres off our opponent and we get carved up by teams with pinpoint kicking and we are so far away from our opponents,we can't even lay tackles and pressure the ball carrier.

Sorry, but there has never been a coach that has done so much damage in 24 games of coaching, sent us back 3 years and don't get me started on the recuiting of VFL hacks.I shudder to think if Neeld coaches us for another 2 years.

I think he tried real hard to get midfielders from elsewhere that we're on the move or OOC, eg, Wellingham, BJ, etc, but they were not interested.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
