Someone mentioned in the game day thread that Carey was glowing in his appraisal of Watts' game. I'd be interested to hear what he thought of Hogan.

My immediate thought was a Jonno Brown comparison but why not aim for the top?

yeah Carey liked his body work and how big and strong he looked. Said he looks like a smart player and praised him when he kicked that goal from the boundary.

But yeah he was exciting to watch and cannot wait until next year when he can play seniors. Its nice to draft a kid who already had muscle and isnt a weed.

Hogan, Clark and Dawes- how does an opposition back line match up on that? Throw in Howe and the odd cameo from Sylvia et all and you have a forward line that can compete with the Lyon era.

All we need is a small forward ala the Wizz and were unstoppable when the ball gets there.

Our next targets should be a dynamic small and a couple of classy hard midfielders. God I hope Trengove can recapture his junior form!

Yep 14.2, also came 10th in 3km run. Oh and he's got big hands too, unlike a little liar we know of.

I believe his testing in this area was outstanding for a big man. Trying to keep a lid on but based on the testing he might end up having all of the best attributes of not only Carey & J Brown but also a touch of Riewoldt.

He had some runs in the midfield for W.A in the under 18's. His field kicking was superb in the carnival it was more his goal kicking that was his weakness. Man it feels good to be excited about a impact player we know can do a job straight away in 2014. I still have hopes for this year but 2014 and onwards looks very good with the hulk in our side.

The fact that he leads up the ground is a massive plus. He can take marks and not just kick goals but set them up. It helps that we have Clarke who if can stay fit will kick plenty.

god no. If it were one of their kids maybe. McMahon is a 26 year old experienced defender who should have no problem taking on a kid. Makes it all the more impressive if you ask me

North either thought McMahon may run off him, liked his chances when the ball hit the ground or didn't pay too much attention to the mismatch. Whatever way you read it he is not a top key defender

He's 4 inches shorter...

The kid will be a player but you will be disappointed if you expect him to dominate the Saints in two weeks time. I am assuming there will be ten times more comments about the Casey game than the one in Renmark.

Oddly enough those that play better in the game at Casey will be better prepared for the season ahead than those that play well at Renmark...
