The AFL is thinking of banning certain types of gloves used by AFL footballers.

I don't understand why they are making them (or at least certain types of them) illegal. Everybody has access to them, so nobody is really at an unfair advantage. Not that I really care at all...

The AFL feel as though they need to tinker with the rules every year. if their tinkering is limited to outlawing gloves, well thats probably easier to take than if they decide to change the interpretation of fundimental rules like they have been doing recently.

I saw a report on ESPN recently where they compared the friction of human skin to the new types of gloves that GridIron receivers and defensive backs are using. The difference was stark - the new gloves have about 8 times the friction, or stickability and are getting better all of the time.

The AFL has to nip this one in the bud, ban them now!

Didn't they eventually shift Rivers to Dawes and Frawley to Cloke, only for Dawes to expose Rivers one-out in the goal square and kick a couple quick on him as well?

We are a better backline for Jared's departure, as does out leadership group.
