Where did you hear that?

HG is well connected, there's not much more you need to know. There aren't many on this forum I'd believe almost unconditionally, but he is one.

Lets hope we haven't gone from one extreme to the other and end up only drafting big muscly to heavy brutes who can't spread or cant get 50-70m with the ball.

Step 1: Get ball

If that's what we're after we better sign that Moloney guy before the Lions get him.

would rather Toumpas (likely to GWS) or O'Rourke over Wines, as they both offer something different, whereas Wines offers more of the same as Viney.

I think Wines and Viney aren't as similar as people are worried about. Yes they're both tough competitors, but what's wrong with that?

I'd prefer to pick a safe mid like wines who is going to compete with the big boys from day dot with pick 4, rather than draft a skinny skillful bloke who might end up being the best available.

Not saying this needs to be the way we draft every year, but doesn't hurt to get some safer, ready made types this year after 3-4 years of punting on talent alone.

How funny... We've now got to the point of arguing over Porsches, ferraris and Lambos.!!

Whatever we get is a quantum improvement on our current situation.

The money, the box or behind curtain 2!!!

I don't really care. They're all good :)

Fact is Wines has been told we will take him if he's available.

Thanks HG. That's great news!

Viney, Hogan, Wines. I'm sensing a theme here....

Anyone know what O Rourke is like in terms of personality?

If we take Wines i hope we keep speedsters like Bail and Blease in the midfield more.

How quick is Wines?

The problem is the past 2 season's we have had The Suns and GWS hogging all the top 10 draft picks which has brought back our rebuild stage.

Not to mention losing our golden number 1 druft pick Tom Scully.

2009 Tom and Jack pick 1 and 2 (loose Tom)

2010 we picked up Cook in the first round

2011 we Trade our pick for Clark.

The past 3 year have set us back a lot and its only starting to look like where going back on track after this trade period,

hopefully we can see the light at the end of the tunnel soon

It will be interesting to see what becomes of Gysberts, I for one hope they keep him, he has no value on the trade table so if we keep him for an extra year it won't cost us much and he is still under contract. He has a lot of talent and if we can add some strength and get him fit he would be a very good player in the team. Perhaps the fact we have him on the market will give him the kick he needs to get on with it.

Not every player has to be built like a brick shelter shed.

On another note if we get Wines I will be a very happy supporter, what a fantastic position for the club to be in having to choose from three or so very talented players for pick four.

I can speak about o'rourke. He is an introvert and my only knock on him is he goes a little quiet in close games. He starts games very well though and is very talented. I'm not sure he would be a neeld favourite but that is just my opinion.

Pre-season draft, the draft that clubs use to pick last spots available in primary list, this is the draft we pick Martin and Jurrah.

Hahaa of course. Thanks mate cheers :)

Has there been any word on Bate? The Doggies were into him last year but that seems to have disappeared...

Would we entertain a trade of Thomas from port to Moloney? He won't care how he gets there and if they were prepared to pay him what ge wants, would it be a good deal? Would the net compo for him be better?

The AGE reporting Melbourne is talking to Port about inside mid Matt Thomas. Possibly as part of a deal on Beemer.

Or

2. Shrug tackle

3. Dish off to Blease/Strauss/Sylvia/Grimes/

4.kick it to Clark/Watts/Hogan(2014)/Howe/

5. Goal

6. We celebrate

All thanks to a strong mid getting the ball and either breaking or standing up in the tackle. Tough, hard, accountable footy, Melbourne style

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
