I know you accidentally posted this twice H_T.... but if true, I have no problems with you posting it again! :D

I thought the club handled this impeccably from start to finish. Plenty of posters around here should apologise for the nonsense they've flung at the club during this entire saga. Claims that the club have been incompetent have been rife in this thread and only served to prove the ignorance of the fools that posted them.

Fair play. Will be interesting to see if anything happens via trades with GC over the next couple of weeks. If it was simply a case of doubt cast over whether we would take him or not, then you have to take your hats off to the club for handling it so well. Wasn't 100% sure where those comments by Jack a couple of days back fitted in with the plan, but hey, who gives a [censored] now. A huge win, unless there is some sort of ridiculous trade to GC in the next 2 weeks.

Welcome Jack and well done MFC! Best news in a very dismal year, and hopefully signifies the start of a long term change of luck for the Dees.

It seems to me that MFC deliberately left out the pick they used for Viney in their press release because they were going to take him pick 3 if they had to.

That right, but wouldn't it have been easier just to write two versions each with the different pick we got him for :)

The club said in one of the articles after the picks that they would have taken Viney at 3 if required. Great to have him at the club and he'll become part of the heart of the club in the near future if all the reports are true. PLus he'll be first picked in my dreamteam for 2013...

Yeah, Harrington did confirm this afterwards. Should have just waited for that article! Good to know though

Great outcome Dees.

Firmly believed all along that GCS wouldn't take him at pick 2.

There are others there that appeal better pick 2 to 7

Just think of Toumpas, Grundy, O'Rourke, Wines

I'm salivating already.

I'll have to log off and take a nice nap.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
