At brisbane airport for the second time in a week...hard to justify this type of money as a 20 year old uni student, but I'd do anything for the mighty dees ❤️ Felt confident at the start of the week but the nerves have been growing ever since, I just want the game to start now. I think our midfield grunt and contested ball depth with get us over the line in the end. GO DEES21 points

Post 3 things you would love to see tonight, besides the obvious (a Demon win) 1. The Petracca breakout... the one we have all been waiting, something in the vicinity of 30 touches and 5 goals in a BOG performance 2. Mitch Hannan to take mark of the year on Sicilys head 3. Jordan Lewis to tear apart his old mob14 points

Last week it begun, I think the entire club from CEO to my 3 year old son needed that. I predicted it would taste good, I never thought in my wildest dreams it would be be that good. But now I want more, Hawthorn saying they are happy to be underdogs? Your underdogs for a reason. I want to hurt them physically AND emotionally. As recently as round 4 and for the last 10 years they have treated us like dust, insignificant to them, nothing. Although fans and the media might be getting carried away I get the sense the coaching group and players are focused. It's payback time, Geelong have been left wondering if they are on the right path, we were only warming up. We had a taste of blood, and as predicted it taste good. Time for a slaughter. I think they understand now we are here.13 points

Thanks to the good folk at Carlton Draft, Lord Nev has finally been recognised as back pocket royalty.11 points

The Umpires tried damn hard to take it off us. Amazing composure to pull control back out of their hands and run away with it.10 points

I'm on the train from Castlemaine- occasional other Dees supporters here. I'm sitting with the strange feeling of anticipation that comes with the knowledge of win and anything is possible, lose and it's over for this season. I vaguely remember that sense from many years ago. As the day has gone on, I've been feeling my father's presence more and more (he died in 2015).10 points

This is exactly how I feel today. Mind you, I'm heading to the G wearing the same clothes, at the same time, eating the same pre-game food, going to the same gate, just to be sure haha9 points

Landed but so tired. Had a lovely old lady snoring louder than a Massey Ferguson under full load and passing enough wind that half the plane was reaching for the oxygen masks Looking forward to hopefully catching a few Z’s this morning before grabbing a coffee and the rag for a peruse. Where’s pre game hydration take place?8 points

@picket fence 4. There is a reason why Spargo keeps being picked There were calls for Jeff Garlett to replace teenage rookie Charlie Spargo in Melbourne's line-up for Friday night's semi-final, but that was never going to happen. For all Garlett's match-winning qualities, the Demons' coaching staff rightly prioritise defensive pressure out of their small forwards. Spargo delivers that in spades and complemented those efforts with an impressive offensive display, too. He ended the night with 12 disposals (eight contested), three tackles, two goals and seven score involvements. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-09-14/five-talking-points-hawthorn-v-melbourne7 points

Also, a bit of Spargo love please. Not big numbers, but all of them seem to be important numbers, and great to see him getting on the end of a couple.7 points

Lessons have been learned on how to steady and wrestle back momentum in those games when teams come charging. This is immensely exciting. Feels different to last week though - I’m overtaken by a weird calm. Great result, but job not done yet. Still going to indulge in a few bathwaters though7 points

Easy, cook up the worst slop you can throw together. Deep fry them a chuck steak, and serve with vegetables that have been steamed for 6 hours. Then microwave a bowl of ice cream for them. Jesus I hate the Hawks.6 points

Feeling very relaxed. We are going to blow these muppets off the park. Winning a flag aside, I can think of nothing better than eliminating Geelong and Hawthorn in consecutive weeks in the finals.6 points

Up at 4.30AM, 3YO sensing tension 5.30AM "Dad can we go feed the goats, pick some mulberries and avos and check the planets?" Drove all around Lismore with Dees scarf out window. Old bloke at work caught me at entrance with a chuckle seeing my scarf - "good luck tonight" It's Australia Vs the Hawks.6 points

Worried that all the talk has been about how we should smash them. Can never write Hawthorn off, and they will come out red hot. Richmond wore them down last week. If we can bring it for a full 4 quarters we'll do the same. If we don't take our chances, they will make us pay.6 points

After the saints and swans game I thought we were gone, to now be playing off in a prelim is just insane win or lose next week I couldn’t be prouder of this club right now5 points

We have come a long way. Men on a mission this year but we'll be playing finals for the foreseeable future as well. The future is bright. An even contribution from all the team members too. Goodwin has got us playing as a real team - no weak links, total team. If we bring the same intensity next week, we'll win and progress. Lookout Eagles, we're coming your way!5 points

Theres a guy here dressed in full Carlton gear. Both melb and hawks supporters are caning him. At least we can agree on something. What a peanut.5 points

I just arrived at beer deluxe and the place is packed. Asked if I could sit down at a reserved table that was only half full of Hawks supporters while I wait for my sister and her bloke. “Only if you buy me a beer” one of them says. Sat down with my back to him. End of story.5 points

I had pre game beers at Duke of Wellington on Flinders St last week and will do so again this week. A sea of red n blue breaking into Grand Old Flag every 20 mins. Some nice eye candy too. Unfortunately @Bitter but optimistic scared them off with his flamboyant get up. Otherwise, it has a very good vibe.5 points

Flew down from Brisbane last Friday with Sons and Grand Sons. Cost a bit but well worth it as first time in over 20 years at G. Tonight all of us in front of TV yelling and screaming over many VBs5 points

Studies show that listening to music, having pictures in your workspace, and browsing Demonland all increase productivity. If they aren't moved by scientific evidence, try crying and begging.5 points

Put through a request to work night shifts all month so I could be assured I'd be free to go and watch finals. The downside is that, with no one around I've been lingering around Demonland a lot and appears the site has now been blocked. I have to put in a request to IT to have it unblocked lol Gotta prove it's of value to my work. Anyway I'll be on like 2 hours sleep at the game as I was last week. Good times.5 points

Last week was pure worry, I'm letting myself enjoy this build up and dream big. Go you Demons!!5 points
