Hang on, hang on. He had pasta and wine over dinner with the ‘aints and a mid-morning coffee with us!

This doesn’t bode well. I hope they made it an Irish coffee at the very least 🇮🇪

Ned and Max both had mont blancs, Kingy a dirty chai and Richo a large flat white.

It's hardly so very surprising

Sadly, the history of being unable to attract Chris Judd to our club because of far from ideal training conditions may have played its part once again.

Whose head would be turned by having to trek to Casey Fields regularly?

I know this probably wouldnt happen but part of me is hoping GC say to Flanders, we accept you want to leave but at least nominate melbourne so we can get a deal done for petracca.

I don’t think the Suns will be too worried.

If he goes to the Saints they’ll be armed with picks 6, 7, 13 and don’t need any of them. All 3 will be traded for points picks with or without Tracc and teams will be lining up to deal with them.

Meanwhile do we really hold Tracc hostage for Flanders? Losing 3 best 22 runners in one off season hurts so no doubt Flanders helps cover that. But it’s time to sell Tracc and reboot with committed players. If we have to pick up some delisted types or blood a few more kids for a year so be it.

Bloody oath we hold him Hostage

Since when did St Kilda become a destination club?

One finals win in 15 seasons. A win that they fell over the line after being 4 goals up at 3 qtr time in a shortened game.

Watch them speed straight past us next year.

People can Criticise all they want, but they are building a solid list. Good young talent coming through whilst adding some much needed depth and experience.

Good on them i say.

Very disappointing

And a rude wake up for King and the rest of the club.

You want to turf out star players like Oliver for one reason or another, and you think you’ll be able to walk good players back in. But that’s far from the truth.

If we don’t get quality in the draft, the reality is that right now our ability to get even mid level quality players to our club is minuscule.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
