Okay let's ramble on the positive here..

Just a lazy 26 disposals and 665m gained tonight.

Its the first time i have been this excited about a first year player since Jesse Hogan and Clayton Oliver from their first year in the AFL system.

This kid is a genuine jet and yet he hasnt even played a minute in his actual preferable position as an inside mid.

What's his ceiling?

He is going to be very good. I hope he does work over summer to get some more burst speed and we will have a Tom Green / Clayton Oliver / Bontempelli infusion.

Leadership, elite skills, tough as nails. Sky's the limit.

By the length of the Flemington straight, the best thing to come out of this season.

A genuine star in the making.

What he did tonight, and has done before, as a 19 year old without a full pre-season, has been stunning.

Can't wait for him to launch into 2026.

Ever since I started seeing clips of him in 2024 I was hoping like hell we’d be able to draft him

And thank god we did because he’s been everything that was promised and then some

I know it’s easy to throw big names out there but he just screams Bontempelli, with some of the ‘having time’ qualities of a Pendlebury

Can’t wait to see what he produces in 2026

Was brilliant tonight. Love him. Great first season, Bison.

Crazy impressive talent. I'm just as bullish on Lindsay as well. These two are going to be a pleasure to watch for the next 15 years.

Our backline, even without Lever and May, looks promising too.

Petty, Disco, Adams, Bowey.

Our next Brownlow and premiership captain.

In all seriousness this kid is an absolute freak.

Imagine questioning this first year player. Enjoy our next big thing Dees Fan. He’s our boy.

Gotta love Harvey "The Bison" Langford he is going to be a gun for the Demons!

Maybe still a "smokey" to win the NAB Rising Star Award?

Nevertheless, will probably finish in the top 5 in our Best & Fairest count. Not bad for a first year player!

If you love footy, you just love watchig this guy.

He's gonna be the ultimate metres gained player.

I can't understand why he is paying $51 for the rising star. Every time he dominates a game i check his odds and he keeps drifting.

We need not have bidded on Levi Ashcroft. This guy has more upside..

Langford, Clarry and Hogan have clearly had the most accomplished debut seasons for our club in recent years.

He hit a high watermark last night and I’m sure that the four clubs that overlooked him in the draft may have a bit of buyers remorse. (Although Lalor looked fantastic early days and Smith had an ACL)

If you want to think about it.... how good is he ??

He looked like he ought to be out there. ( same can't be said for half that team )

He ran it out.. hasn't a lot of mates

He LED by example. 1st year player f f s showing the rest how its done.

Footy nouse.... in spades..

Composure... sadly lacking in many.

He ought to be just soaking in all the learnings of others.. Instead... They ought to look at him.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present... a Unicorn !!

May we find more.

He’s just awesome and so is Lindsay…how good has our drafting been? Seriously would have taken Langford at number 1 if we had it, such a great pickup, was meant to be!

As I’ll be well and truly dead in 15 years, please report their progress via priest or spiritualist! I can assure you I shall be very interested!

Don't they have Foxtel in Heaven? If not I'd complain to the manager.

Brownlow medalist level. Is his ceiling in my opinion and he could be closing in on the level as soon as next year with a good pre season. The fact he’s universally not seen as a runaway rising star is bonkers, the draft pool was crazy good

Would have sent it much sooner than August

I love the kid's composure. It really stands out in a side full of headless chickens.

I'm the same but I reckon AFL considered it's all sown up already.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
