[censored] off Melbourne. What a total joke. Players running thru tackles. Free players everywhere and a goal after the siren.
Embarrassing display.

[censored] sake Kolt are you [censored] kidding me with taking 5 seconds to kick a [censored] ball, and we concede on the siren after all that work.

Tholstrup's lack of speed for a 1st round pick is a worry

Roo was in a great position to mark and closer to goal. Fritta knew he’d get the free if he didn’t mark it.

We'll agrew to disagree Jaded.

Take the open target 30 meters out every time for mine

That is pathetic by Melbourne. Stick a bloody tackle.

Yeah, that cost us badly

For his size Sparrow can't be making weak tackling efforts like that.

He’s not good enough to be out there.

Koltyn had to be better then. Costs us a potential goal which results in them transition forward for a goal right on the siren.

We really are bad.

One tackle and that doesn't happen

and we cough up the junk time goal. great

our snior players were pathtic that first half. embarrassing

and the umps can just [censored] off

You have got to be kidding me. A golden chance to get back in the game but no, the junk time extraordinaires never cease to disappoint.

It is hard work sometimes...

Out of all the garbage today that last 20 seconds was unacceptable. How do you concede a goal there?

Clearances now at a much more respectable 24-3

+24 insider 50s is coach killing territory.

If I hear anyone even try to excuse this performance I'll lose it.

Fritsch burned Kolt badly there coming inside 50.  Got away with one there.

Just before that. He jogged after his opponent, Pearce as he made a contest in the centre. He just stopped and watched him.

Fritsch drives me mad with his laziness and lack of aggression and work rate.

I'm sure he'll pick up some cheapies at the end when the game is done.

I don’t want to see Sparrow in Demons colors again after today. He’s just sh*thouse. I’ve long thought it, but today it sticks out.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.
