The quicker this one goes in the bin the better, just forget about it. Freshen up time.

T Mac deserves votes.

4-2 is OK. Not sure why we are umpired like Richmond though.

I know Oliver isn't at full fitness but at least give him some centre bounce attendance. Absolutely wasted at half-back.

22 points is flattering. We were nowhere near it tonight.

Haven't seen them that cooked in a long time, Adelaide trip killed us. Only 22 points in the end as well softens the blow a little. 4-2 with a long break to come. Ain't all too bad.

Where was the effort from the 4th in the first 3 quarters?

As for Petty, 2 touches from an entire game………a limbless person could do better. He can go, thinks he’s a king and yet is lazy with a poor attitude.

Gawn and Tmac can hold their heads high tonight. Midfield was woeful.

What a soft lazy effort this was, outnumbered at the contest all night, second to the ball all night, worst performance for years. Premiership contenders don't put on performances like this.

Smashed by a hungry team.

Nothing went right for us.

Salem with a hammy in the first few minutes. Yikes.

Sorry boys, not a performance to be proud of. Smashed everywhere. Score is flattering. Should have been 50pts.

I had us at 3-3 at this point, so I’ll take 4-2. We need to rest up and regroup over the bye to make sure we treat this as the exception in our season.

That was abhorrent.

As disinterested as you could look from the start.

Smashed at the contest and lazy spreading away.

I believe we sit around 6-9th.

Don't play injured players out of position.

Worst we’ve played in four years. Did they all have Covid? Made Brisbane look like the Harlem Globetrotters.

3 tough weeks, everyone clearly spent from the get go. I'll take 2/3.

Salem out hurt us early and nobody but Max able to get to the level.

Posters throwing toys out of the cot need to reflect on all the other times they've overreacted. Shouldn't have to go back too far to find examples.

Move on, take the flattering scoreboard into the bye and hit our winter at the G from a solid 4-2 position.

Go Dees.

For 3 quarters that was the worse we've played in a very very long time.

The backmen can hold their heads up high, so can Ed Langdon and Trent Rivers(if you don't include him as part of the backline). Rest of em utterly terrible.

Also, how we added Grundy(lol), Hunter, Schache, Billings and McAdam to a premiership list is a big reason why we haven't won another flag. Utter [censored].

I honestly don't even think we were that bad. We were slow and battered and Brisbane absolutely came out firing. If our worst equates to a 22 point loss against a full strength Brisbane then I'll take that. Richmond and Collingwood both had far worse outings in their Premiership winning years.

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

I know it was only 22 but that feels like the worst loss in five years

3 games in 12 days was a bridge too far

It’s a long season

Langdon good effort, Rivers tried.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
