Credit to Goodie in blooding kids.

We’ve been contending now for 4-5 years and still blooding and developing some exciting young players. It wouldn’t be an easy thing to do, especially where we’ve come from.

Amazing drafting and development from the club

Well done Kolt. Start of a long career at the Dees.

Agree with posters. We are not relying on the same side that won the big one in 21. Some quality players coming in.

What and get suspended?

It seems you are more likely to get off if you knock them dead than if you brush against an opponent's head.

Could there be a more unflattering photo?

Wahooo we have all been anticipating the launch of the Kolt, so glad it is at the G tomorrow night so we can witness him Debut. Congratulations young man enjoy your first game with the Dees. Go the Esperance Kolt, how happy was Jack Viney.!!

Added reference to JV.

But… best of luck to you Kolt!

We've been so ultimately spoiled in very recent times haven't we? Bowey debuts and stars from the get go in 21. McVee, Windsor, Roo, Howes,  Woey hasn't starred yet but looks pretty good. In the dark past, when hope was largely absent  I must admit had little excitement about a new comer. Very different these days. Cant wait to see how he looks on the big stage!

Can't wait to see this kid play, recon he has a lot of early years Petracca about him.

Pardon my ignorance, but does Kolt have an indigenous heritage?

Don't think so, but he wears 39 and has ambitions to be awesome, so Neville Jetta is perfect.

No I don’t believe so

Got the love some work from A.B “Banjo” Paterson

There was movement at the station, for the word had passed around
That the KOLT from WA would make his debut.
And he would join the mighty Demons team
to show his talent and tenacity to all that had come to see.
So all the Dees supporters had gathered to the fray.
All the loyal and loud Dees members from near and far away,
Had mustered at the MCG on Thursday night to see the Kolt at play,
For the Dees love his energy and excitement and hope with all their might,
That his family and all around him enjoy the night, with his future that’s ahead.

I'd be just tempering our expectations a bit. If he can make a hit or two, and lay 3 or 4 tackles, I think that'd be a great debut.

The fact that Viney is his role model and mentor means I have never been more relaxed about a player's debut.

Knock em dead Kolt*

*Do not get suspended

The fact that Viney in his recent interview with Maxy before his 200th and Brayshaw in his retirement talk both mentioned Nathan Jones mentoring them makes me realise what an impact Jones has had on the club.

Viney role modelling and mentoring, Brayshaw with his new role at the club.

* Kolt don't get suspended but when we play the pies let your mum know our feelings for Maynard she will sort it

As long as it’s a football action and not head high, all good

So much easier to slot young players into a high-performing side rather than throw them to the wolves all at once together out of necessity. May we never have to do that again.

I'll see you and raise you this one.

Surprising because he's usually a very photogenic lad.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
