Just finished watching the replay.

Can someone tell me if that Fritsch last kick was really not a goal?

They never show if the ball goes through the goal line before hitting the post on the opposite side of goal.

Hit the right hand goal post unfortunately

It can’t have gone entirely past the goal line if it hits anywhere on the post. It was a behind.

Just rapt. So happy to see Windsor get his 1st goal, max standing up at 3/4 time & kicking the goal, Ben Brown nailing 3 goals and winning for Jack.

That’s just one Family

Also is there a dentist shortage in Adelaide? Some of those crowd shots were the stuff of nightmares.

Can we really know that?

Weird angle, and the post is thinner at the top. I can see a scenario where a ball with too much spin goes through the goal line and then out to the post on the other side.

That was one of the great wins.

Made more remarkable by watching some sort of mirror footy game.

One team dominated territory, clearnces and inside 50s. But often entering into a crowded fifty and missing key chances. Not taking full advantage of momentum.

The other team staying in the game  absorbing pressure in the back half, entering into an open forward line and taking key chances. Taking full advantage of momentum.

Go redlegs.

I think sometimes some of us take our defence for granted. Having a look at the votes thread not many defenders are in the votes and you summed it perfectly binman. 21 more inside 50s and our backmen absorbed the pressure time after time.

I've been to Adelaide. That group would be top 10% most attractive, from my experience...

I know if you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything at all, but [self censored] it’s hard to stay quiet sometimes.

Absolute heart and soul of our great club. Loved his old man and absolutely love the way Jack goes about it.

IMO he will be one of the best to ever pull on a dees jersey by the time he retires

Interesting thought exercise, possibly with a snap and a heap of wind. But in the real world if it hits the post it hits the post, at least until they bring in ball tracking technology.

The Windsor kid is going to be allright:

Priceless

From news.com

The unfortunate mistakes led Fox Footy’s Ben Dixon to say: “Ratugolea is now ‘Ratugol-error’.”

Outside of the GF it's one of the best wins I've seen live. ANB deserves a hug.

You guys at the game made a heap of noise in enemy territory.
Was proud of yas.

Doesn’t surprise me. Happy to be on the other side of the coin this year instead of trying to bash through a crowd to kick goals.

Hard to believe there’d be any breeding going on amongst that lot

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
