Just give us the 4 points so we can go home and never speak of this game again.

Woeful half of football from both sides

Looks poor here how does it look on tv?

He will fit right in here then.

Do we know his username on DL?

Fox footy are on the mark with us.  Out of form, out of confidence.  Forward connection is terrible, don’t kick to space or advantage, bomb it in.

Selfish plays either not taking the best option, or not hearing it or expecting them to be there

Good players missing easy targets.  Dropped marks.  Gawn seems either underdone or disinterested - there’s no fire there, no angry Max.

It’s less about the score and more about the quality on display. It’s really ugly to watch. We are a lot better than this. I hope.

I just want to win tonight, don’t care how or by how much

I don't like when people just focus on the scoreboard or the ladder.

As you have said Jaded, we look terrible against a subpar team in Carlton.

I think I've just got low expectations of our skill level right now anyway so I just want an ugly win.

But if we kkkeep plugging away tje confidence will return and we'll hit more targets.

Worse, very mundane. What strikes me the most is how quiet the crowd is... Doesn't look like a Friday night game crowd.

Yeah geewhiz that was ordinary viewing.

Time for another blunt.

Not much better.

Get our disposal right and it will be better.

No, it's a Dees home game

There are some on this forum who appear to have social health issues. MFC is well infront of bluebaggers. Relax . Most sides are winning  below par games. Relax or we might lose. Shut up.

Max looks like he’s playing injured, and we are missing Oliver big time, get him back and we will be ok!

Will Viney miss next week with his illegal tackle early in the first quarter?

It's touch and go for me

It is a very hard game to talk up. But Judd McVee has looked the best he has for a while and looks to have so much room for improvement.

Just gotta get the four pints tonight. This game is absolute trash. Unbelievable this is modern day AFL with the best athletes and players in the land. The talent pool isn’t big enough it seems.

Nice finish Van Rooyen.

Not sure Joel Smith has justified his selection

Hasn't played at this level for ages.

Needs at least 2 matches at this level to find the pace surely.

He's got to a few contests and a decent chase down at one point.

Needs to hit the scoreboard a few times in this second half though.

A few other regular campaigners up forward in the NQR mix in that first half also.

He plays for Melbourne. So yes.

Our field kicking entries into 50 are deplorable, none of our forwards double back enough to accept that easy hit up.

Friggen frustrating as we are in these positions so often, this game should be iced and put to bed.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
