Two Sheds Jackson left a long post on here before he departed, still remember reading it…

Cue diversion of thread to Monty Python references now. Endless Fun!

Current-day me laughs at @wobbleguts😂

My fave avi belong to the poster formerly known as The Jackson Six, now known as @The Jackson FIXcoz funny af pic.  Also @deanoxcoz love lil Alex. And @Return to Glorycoz love Alan Partridge.

Big LOLZ that @Skuithas folks believing his name is a portmanteau of skirt/suit. Who on god’s green earth would love a hybrid garment of clothing enough to adopt it as a username??? And even then, you’d go skorts, surely!

I knew you had taste WCW but this is next level

Let us not forget Claude The Cat

A couple of Jamesons into the evening, I admit, but here I am, LOL-ing entirely to myself. Thank you, good Sir!

And dear old 'Acme', mysterious 'Amazon' of my childhood (which, by the way, was in Warner Brothers 1.0, not the later Sophie Monk reboot!)

OLISIK

To be fair, Olisik was one of the first here to identify Clayton Oliver as a top prospect (before he was even heard of) If not the first

I remember him sticking his neck out and not long after, the chat about Oliver heightened

It's true he's more visible when the team doesn't do well but that reasoning can apply to a stack of others as well.  His harshest critics can often be just as miserable

I just sometimes can’t believe how f’ing long I’ve been posting here. I was in high school… now I am… the proud owner of back pain and mortgages.

Absolutely this, Jaded. It's a weird feeling knowing I've been posting and talking to some people here longer than most friends IRL, yet have only met a handful of people a handful of times.

The Season Review & Trade Wrap podcast RFI thread has flushed out a few shy goodies, along with the seasoned warriors. My favourite, for its alpha and numeric mind bends, is @NeveroddoreveN. Owner to elaborate?

Straight after winning our GF @Lucifers Herochanged username to Premiers 2021 or similar only to change it back to Lucifer’s Hero as soon as was allowed since many on here (me included) expressed how much we loved the original name. Probs coz many on here (again, me included) love Luci. 💕

LOL!  I felt like a lost soul when I changed my name and had to wait a whole month to become Lucifers Hero again, except that the 'new' name didn't have an apostrophe which needless to say was promptly picked up by @Demonstone.  I've been meaning to put the apostrophe back but I kind of like that it riles him😉

Lucifer's Hero was created at the time JImmy died.  For me he was a Hero not for any particular thing but for how he lived his life and gave his all to everything he did:  Demons, Reach, Family etc.  I toyed with preceding Hero with 'Dees', 'Devil', 'Demons' but 'Lucifer' sounded more fun and cheeky.

I'm not sure when or who shortened it to 'Luci'.  I think it was one of these rascals😉@Bitter but optimistic@Demonstone@daisycutterwho would of course write 'luci' as he only uses lower case!  It is an endearing moniker and I really like that many DL's have adopted it.

On the subject of not knowing if we've lost a DL'er to the other side.

The day after we were eliminated from the finals I had a pm from @old deeto let me know that he wouldn't be on DL anymore, to not worry as he hadn't died.  I confess to shedding a tear as I would miss him on DL.

Well folks, it was the fastest resurrection you have ever seen!  Within a mere 24 hours he was back posting🤩💕

Okay I loved your name as it was, but knowing it’s about Jimmy has just bumped it up to next level adoration. 💕

And despite revelling in the euphoric aftermath of our premiership, I was sad to see your name change, and equally as happy to see you go back to Lucifer’s Hero, sans apostrophe or otherwise.

I heard it was @Bitter but optimisticwho shortened it to Luci which is surprising as it’s probs the nicest thing he’s ever called anyone. 😂

I wanna change mine but I gotta get to enough posts before the forum allows me to!

You’ve only got six posts to go. Carn fellah, let’s have a back n forth to get you there! Okay, I’ll start it: so, what’s it like to NOT feel you have to post every single thought you have or have ever had? Asking for a friend who likely clocked up 100 posts in the first 10 minutes of joining DL. 😁

I’ve thought about that a lot over the years too. I’ve been on Demonland for a really long time, but the only members I’ve ever personally spoken to are Andy and WJ, @Grapeviney@Jaded No More, @old55 and @Slartibartfast, and all only fairly anecdotally, and a really long time ago in the case of the latter three. Nevertheless many of the usernames here feel familiar to me and I feel like I know the personality attached, even if it’s a mostly imagined one based on what they write. It’s a community here. We all know each other, even if it’s a very curated version of ourselves. Every now and again I’ll see an old thread where a name I haven’t seen in ages comes up, and I see they haven’t visited in years and I wonder what happened?

Occasionally I also morbidly wonder if anyone on Demonland would know or care if I did die. Given I have no personal connection to anyone on here the news may never filter through. How depressing!

I've always digitally had a soft spot for you Nasher. I said it on here years ago that Nasher was actually my nickname at a young age originating from my school Rugby team haha. Also really enjoyed your time on the podcast in its infant phase.

I'm very much the same though, I've been part of Demonland/Ology a very long time but I would have only met a handful of people in person. It's a different kind of connection but nonetheless a very meaningful one with everyone on here.

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
