Successful in the MCC ballot but I’m not going. Nothing would make me vomit more than watching Selwood or Papley smuggly enjoying premiership glory.

It is a case of wanting to see Geelong lose more than Sydney win.

This is me. Will be passing the tix on

I hate both teams so really don’t care.

Who gives AF? I’m going away for the weekend with the family.

can't stomach the thought of Scott and Dangerfield gloating. Mind you Papley also exacerbates by haemorrhoids. I think i'll go off the grid on saturday.

Dangerfield rarely if ever plays two good games in a row. This is Geelong's to lose and if they do they have failed big time.

I always liked Sydney tbh, never really hated them. I just want to see Scotts face if Geelong lose lol

I'm actually pumped for the game and scored a ticket through the AFL members. But I love grand final day regardless of who's playing.

Going for Sydney just for the LOLS on Scott's face if they get done.

Expect Geelong to win by 7-10 goals. Didn't like Sydney's second half and Reid probably out hurts their structure (a bit like T Mac hurting ours.)

If Geelong lose it will be so sweet as it may be their last chance to win it with their current core mob. I'm hoping they will drop down the ladder in the next 2-3 years needing a mini rebuild although knowing Geelong it is probably wishful thinking. Your Selwood's, Dangers' and Hawkins' will be nearing retirement as much of them will be 32-33.

On the other hand I feel Sydney have overachieved and peaked a little too early for my liking. There is so much young talent on their list and they'll be seriously good for the next 5 years.. I want us to be the dynasty club!

I'll be drunk.

Also got the MCC ballot - it's a good outcome I guess, I certainly wouldn't be queuing for this - odds on I'll be in the bar from 1/4 time.

It's interesting the one-sided nature of the predictions - I'm still not sold on Geelong on the big stage. Brisbane were a walk over in the Prelim, and Sydney have the pressure game nailed - if they can bring their Qualifying Final form they'll be hard to match.

I'm not sure I could stomach the AFL's Head Prefect (Dangerfield) gloating after a win. I guess it's a question of who I least want to win....

Would be hilarious if Geelong stuffed this up again lol. But, Papley the puke annoys me, buddy diving and annoying swans fans experience i had at the QF is pretty fresh.

Had planned to rush back from OS then from NSW if Demons were in it ( that 'was if Jetstar can get their planes off the ground ) but have already returned the ticket.

C'mon Geelong!!

Couldn't stand the Swans getting a flag with all the handouts they get - priority "academy" picks Heeney, Mills, Blakey, Gulden, Campbell, poaching Buddy using their additional COLA Salary Cap, who knows what other "ambassador" payments they get to make outside the cap?

Plus my wife is a Cats supporter 😜

There’s always divorce.

I’m not joking.

There was no poll question about a preferred natural disaster or biblical event…

Yeah I think Reid is a worry for them. Think Papley is going to have to play out of his skin for them to have a shot.

I want Sydney to win. Or more correctly I want Geelong to lose.

Imagine if Collingwood won on Saturday - now that would be truly nightmarish.

Gary Rohan wearing a Premiership Medal….

The Swannettes MUST WIN

hate JEELONG hate

Despise them both but hate Geelong more....that said I think they will win, sadly

Nah the Cats are alright, plenty of other teams I hate way more than them - Collingwood, Essendon, West Coast, Hawthorn for starters.

Geelong are pretty inoffensive in the scheme of things - obviously 186, getting belted on our 150th anniversary etc but I don't mind them, even if I wasn't married to a Cats supporter. They were fantastic to watch during their heyday, Scott and Dangerfield are annoying but I dislike Sydney far more with all the free hits they get.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
