Well I for one welcome a left footed natural winger to the side with open arms. Fills a big need. Wobder where Jordon plays next year?

Cats and Dees win Trade Week, what does that say about the system

Damn! Just seems a great fit for our on field needs.

Experiened winger with good foot skill who covers the ground. Has some tricks and is creative with ball use.

Should have packaged up Schache and Hunter for a seventh-round pick.

Hunter has been a star of the competition. Best and fairest winner in front of Bont and McCrae.

Regular 35 + possession winner. Racked up competition high uncontested possessions in 2016 but also notched up 10 tackles a game on occasion. Premiership player.

Future third rounder! Good business.

I get that. I guess I just don't notice him at all when I watch their games, especially of late

We now have 24 players who played in the 2021 Grand Final on our list. We had 23 on the day the game was played.

Jeepers you've already forgotten your Jackson namesake - he's at Freo!!!!!!

We have a full 23 again

That it’s only right 50% of the time?

Really like this. And on reflection, think it was they right decision paid in 2021 GF - when he received the free kick then kicked the goal.

yes in retrospect it was well played 😉

That  is understandable.  He played only 10 games this year.

If this becomes a reality does Gus move back to the HBF or middle?

Play him at FF - he's done well everywhere else.

paul connors said the dees want him on the wing and other spots. Great to have another proper winger if he can stay fit!

Along with the wing, we could play him on a half forward flank and behind the ball, which allows us to release Salem or Bowey further up the ground.

A few people owe Tim Lamb an apology I reckon. We've bossed trade week again. Flags are built off shrewd list management like this.

I thought this was all BS, obviously this rumour has legs would be tied up in the Tomlinson trade if it were to happen.

So he was at the club BNF after party after all.

Great get for the Dees.

Pumped with our window.

Hunt is AFL standard. He played 40 games over past 2 seasons in a side that finished 1st and 2nd after the H&A.

Yeah I still don’t agree. He played because our depth was poor in his position & they were blind by the myth that’s called speed. Not a very smart footballer & constantly ran himself into stupid positions & then burnt the ball. I don’t think we made an offer to keep him either.

So we don't talk about the Grand final then? I hope Steven May doesn't mouth off to him.

Chaos waiting to happen 😛

Nope, he's on the money.

Lost 1 (Jackson), gained 2 (Schache and Hunter).

Don’t forget Grundy

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
