The AFL are in a complete mess with this one, have opened up a completely new can of worms for everyone to manipulate the system.

I know where the high esteemed lawyers will be going for holidays and who will be paying for it.

Is Ah Chee free to play this weekend?

oh right, I forgot

[censored] joke

I think you are missing the point.

I am sure they have found he contested, not bumped.

Paddy Ryder who stood still and had a player run into him and get whiplash, copped two weeks.

He should sue.

And every time I look at the vision I see a guy flying in late, not genuinely contesting for the mark and hitting a player in the head. Anyone who has played footy knows what Cripps was doing, making the guy earn the mark. He was too late to contest for the mark and these elite players earn their living making split second decisions to contest a ball or evade a tackle.

Whatever Nev.

Whatever I or anyone else said, you would think the complete opposite.

Facepalm away.

Didn't mean to offend you.

I'm sure you're right, I'm sure our entire team will go after Cripps and our supporters will boo him all day because he wasn't suspended.

Apologies.

It is not right. Cripps was making a captains statement by running through Ah Chee.

No protection for a player getting to the ball first.

Took the words right out of my mouth corruption is alive and well in the AFL, they really want them to play finals these corrupt dogs.

All the ammunition we need lets just send them packing the good old fashioned way on the MCG.

Might not be that easy W4A... better hope the AFL doesn't reinstate the early season version of dissent as a one off just for us.

Or worse...the pre-season version against the Blues 🤮

If this doesn’t rally our supporters to turn up Saturday night I don’t know what will.

We need to outnumber their fans and back the boys into smashing them.

Will I be booing Cripps every time he gets near the ball? [censored] yeah!

No this does not clear the way for all clubs to be treated/judged equally.

This is confirmation of how the AFL & power clubs make megabucks in bed together.

The ball was punched by the defender so Cripps wasn’t even contesting a mark.

I wonder how Ah Chee feels sitting out this week because of an arbitrary decision that doesn’t take into consideration anything about his specific incident, while watching Cripps get a week to explain himself resulting in his ability to play.

This absolutely stinks. I hope a player with a financial interest in playing takes the AFL to court on their concussion protocols, and uses this case as precedent. They protect their money and interests but don’t care about players.

Glass half full approach - we still win and he is now free to play against the Pies and has a blinder. I know, I know, going by our luck recently it will be the opposite.

The only winner here is the Carlton QC, FMD.

We'll still beat them.

I'm going to be the odd man out here. I didn't think it warranted a suspension.

However, I thought he would be due to the incident causing concussion. I'm not a fan of the result determining the suspension but this is the way the AFL play it these days.

I also don't think Nibbler or Chandler should have got such hard suspensions

And this is why, if Melbourne folded tomorrow, I would never watch another game of football ever again.

I agree. My passion for the sport us getting less and less the older I get.

At least the afl are consistent. One set of rules for stars, another set for everyone else.

You can run through anybody now. Good for football.

Look it's not crippas fault he got off, I'm guessing his reps had found some new evidence or managed to spin it in the way to make him look favourable.

I thought he had no chance of getting off, I mean once a player goes off concussed that's it.

But tomorrow it's going to create a good discussion tomorrow and I'm sure some players are shaking there heads.

Oh look honestly I'm more worried about stopping Curnow and McKay

Professional effin entertainment, that’s all it really is. Money talks.

WHAT A FRIGGEN JOKE! AFL Is a laughing stock! Carlton has now made a complete mockery of the laughable, pathetic basketcase of a system. DREADFUL

Everyone going to the game this Saturday night make sure you buy some brown paper bags and draw big $$$ on them.

Farken crooks.

I don’t see it that way at all. What we have seen is replicated often in the civil courts at least, particularly by anyone with deep pockets, willing to keep appealing through the various levels of the court system. Guilty at one level, don’t worry appeal to a higher court and bingo the finding can get reversed.

FMD you can not be serious

The AFL will again say the tribunal & appeals boards are independent.

...we all know that's a bit of a stretch.
